I've applied. Time to see how much they forget or get confused by things I explained when applying over the phone - we're both renting and have a mortgage, but have no rent expenses in future (i.e. we bought and are moving in soonish).

I'm sure they'll screw it up, they're a bank!

Actually, the offer is $0 annual fee for life, with a yearly saving of $199 for plat and $395 for sig. It does not mention anything to do with supp cards, but given the wording, my guess would that their normal fees apply.

No fees on supps.

I applied over the phone, and got asked if I wanted a supp card, and the fact there is no fee got mention about 7 times.

Supp Card is free for life. My wife has one. This was the same on my previous free for life Plat.

If I apply for a supp card for myself, as the missus is the primary cardholder, will it still be fee free? should she phone up to get the supp card or use the form?

Less than 24 hours after application, I received a call asking for a clarification of my "Other income" which is some bonuses from my employer (and so variable). They said they'd forward it to the approval team for making a decision and I should hear from them in 3-5 business days. Less than 4 minutes later I received an email saying I had been approved :)

I wish all banks were this efficient.

Actually, i forgot to ask if you have plat or sig card?

The Plat card has a normal fee of $90 for supp card, whereas Sig card is normally $0 for supp cards.

Wasn't going to apply for the card since I don't satisfy the residency requirement (I'm on a long term stay business visa). However thought I'll ask in store and was told that I should apply and if I satisfy all other requirements I'll likely be approved. So I applied for the Signature Card at the branch (Sydney Town Hall) early January. HR at work got a call 2 days later confirming home address, visa status, employment status, income etc. the whole lot. A day after that I got a veda alert and the application status went to conditionally approved and 10 days after that, the application status changed to approved.

Edit: Only provided ID documents (and copy of visa) at the branch, wasn't asked for proof of income etc - I guess the phone call to my employer's HR must have been good enough.

As I wrote..I had a free for life Plat....and now have a free for life Sig.

In both cases my wife had/has a free for life card off mine as a supp.

I got her card by just asking for it over the phone. Also had the balance of my Plat points transferred over to my new Sig at the same time.

I applied on Friday last week, had an alert from veda but other than that its been all quite with no calls or email from citi. So who knows what all that means :what:

1 week after an alert from my veda and still no word from Citi, No news is good news perhaps...?

So I have the new Signature card that was a replacement/upgrade for my Platinum card.

However since the upgrade was approved my online banking still shows the old card with no recent transactions.

My new card works and it affect the balance available online...but transactions don't list....

Have tried to ring and explain and they don't really understand.

Thoughts ?

For me, I have to create a new login for the new card for the information of the new card to display
Think this is to do with the stupid Citibank internet banking

Hi all,

Well a relative has just got the physical card but upset because Citi seem to be stalking them.....3 emails and phone calls today to ask for confirmation of income. Already had supplied documentation and account info.
They are ringing to activate the card and hope the harassment stops!

On a side note and will post in other thread the Sup EDR card.....documentation was provided at local Woolies....told done.....no card since done in Dec....rang today and after 15 minute wait no your name not in our system????
Suggested they have the primary card holder call and ask what happened to Sup card info that was submitted?

Received the Approved email today (SIGNATURE CARD)

Taken me many years and applications to be accepted for this card, now fee free for life too so its a good day I guess...

Yeah I guess that kinda makes sense when you are dealing with CitiBank...... :(

Pathetic really

I have a feeling this is what happened with mine, as when the person putting through the application kept reading back my information incorrect/misspelled.

I've sent an email to the above mention email address and still haven't heard back.

When I check the application status online, it now says conditionally approved, where as previously it said declined.

They confirmed receipt of my re-assessment on 10/12, and after calling a few times since then, was only told "it was being processed".

I'm hoping it will finally get approved...

In 7 to 8 days you will find out

Is this thing still going, and is there really any point in signing up? Last time I dealt with Citi, well, let's just say I've chosen to block out the traumatic experience...
