thanks for the address. I will re-send my correspondence to this address via registered post. I have not had a reply to my letter address directly to the Amex staff member who signed the letter sent to me.

Simongr do you have any updates on how you are travelling with your claim?

Christian V. Macutay in Exec Customer Relations is handling things, at the request of the Ombudsman, on tel 02 9271 9696, fax 02 9263 6084.

The Vice President for Asia Pacific, Vanesa Kereena (spelling) might want to look into if Amex's delays mean Velocity loses potential customers who want to fly with Richard Branson's V Group, rather than Qantas, if only Amex enabled people to get the points before 30th Nov to roll into V's 25% bonus scheme.

The "drought" has broken here. I received 5k points as part of the promotion today. I am now expecting many more to come, hopefully (and/or possibly) peppering in slowly in the next few weeks as the multiples of 5 transactions are slowly realised.
 Now that is interesting news, anat0l. Could that be your outstanding September bonus points? I'll be eagerly checking my MR transaction statement daily...along with everyone else.

Amex were slow again today to post transactions today...but finally this afternoon they showed up.

After 70 transactions in October, my goal for November is 90 and then 120 in December. Up to yesterday, 9 transactions in 4 days so I'm tracking a little behind my target.

He was the one who asked me to send things to the address above.

So what has the Ombudsman ruled that Membership Rewards needs to do? What Australian laws, etc do they have to satisfy?

.
But...has anat0l had the 10K monthly cap applied?

If so, then others with the cap have reported getting their bonus points too.

can anyone help on what look slike a good promotion. I have 2 Amex but one being Altitude Platinum Amex tells me its a Westpac Card and the other being Qantas Amex Premium Card and Amex tells me if I did not get the invite I cannot take part in this promo. Is this the case??

Thanks for any help

Gross understatement.

Yes it is the case.

If you were not registered by Sept 20 you are too late with your cards for even the capped bonus..

..and the Westpac Card would never have been eligible as is a Westpac issued Card and therefore has no access to Membership Rewards which is purely for Amex issued cards. ie you have nothing to have bonus points awarded to with this card.

Qantas Amex is still Amex issued. It was not intended, but Amex had let some cardholders register IF they were in by Sept 20.

I've been doing the same thing and today discovered two unexpected transactions - Late Payment Fee and Interest Charges. :(:(:( Maybe I should look at the due date once in a while as well. :(

Still no POC and no bonus points since September.

You better make sure you are not Capped to 10K / Month....

Other people reported points been posted before, but all of them were capped to 10K per Month

Good Luck:mrgreen: (Now straight to check my MR account )

Cheers for quick response

I have had 15,000 points added so far this month.

Interesting..

When you look at your detailed MR statement what date have they posted against (when I first gained my bonuses before they stopped they appeared against specific transactions which were multiples of 5, 10 or 20ish) ??? I am guessing that there is still some lag involved?

Theory One:

It may be with some of us that were in multiple awards...that we have to work off our multiple bonuses first.....

Theory Two:

That is your tx are "relatively" light that they are now posting them. But if you are a heavy txer, then your bonus points are awaiting a detailed "screening" and audit before awarding.

Hi all, I'm Iza and a new member to this forum. I have followed this thread with much enthusiasm since inception. A big thanks to Matt_r who got the ball rolling, because I would never have had such an opportunity to earn a substantial amount of points in such a short period of time.

I have received a letter from AMEX stating that I'm on 10T/5K promotion due to multi-enrolments of all 3 promotions. I echo fellow forumites opinions that "this sucks", and am quite prepared to take my case up with AMEX once the points start posting again. My argument being that I have a screen dump congratulating me on successfully registering for all 3 promos, however, I would expect to be on the 5T/5K promo, as this is by far the better of all 3 promos (quite logical really :)).

simongr, I am very keen to see how you fare with AMEX. If successful, I believe you will pave the way to points heaven for the rest of us.

Now, a question: my AMEX Gold Rewards Maximiser card is up for renewal in December. I have read on other threads that if you have spent more than $8K per annum (no problem here ;)), AMEX will wave the fee. However, due to point earning potential of this promotion, what do you think the chances are of the fee being waived?
