Free v Jetstar before VCAT's Alan Vassie involved industry wide 'standard' terms, and I thought those clauses were declared unfair and void prompting Jetstar to boldly highlight 'names changes are not permitted' on the very prominent part of the website (instead of tucked in the bowels of the fine print in font 8).
Actually, IIRC, name changes were permitted at the time this case took place, what was at issue was the fees involved in doing so (i.e. what cost was there to Jetstar in making the change, versus how much they actually charged). After this case occurred, Jetstar started to disallow name changes.
