this is probably the most discussed thread in a 48 hours time span
I have just rang AMEX and be asked to be put on the "myreward" promotion. Even the CSO said that this is a better deal than the "earnpoints" promotion that I had signed up previously. No questions asked. Unfortunately, you are not able to backdate to the date of the 1st signed up or to the transactions from 1 sept. Transactions made today will be applied to the promotion.
I just got off the phone with a very helpful CSO at Amex membership rewards.
As others have indicated, she said that you can only be registered for 1 opt-in code. So I gave her the MYREWARD code and she deleted the other 2 that I had previously entered.
I asked her if this promotion was legit as it seemed too good to be true, and she assured me that it was legit. For every 5 transactions per calendar month I'd get 5,000 bonus points, with no capping.
The phone numbers are 1300 363 276 or (02) 9271 8229 to get through to MR.
I just did exactly the same thing and yes only 1 bonus offer is available to choose from, so I asked her to keep MY REWARD code and delete the other 2 codes.
She also assured me that there's no minimum spend on each transaction and you can have unlimited transactions.
Yes..I just did the same.
So I wonder what happens if you have registered for all three, but don't ring them up?
Hi,
I just called AMEX to check which code was valid, after entering all 3, and was told that only the code on my postcard was valid, regardless of which I had entered. Has anyone else been told this? Didn't ever sould like she looked at my account.
11.1 You may redeem points for frequent traveller rewards provided you are enrolled in the Ascent or Spirit program, and all your accounts with us are kept in good standing and not overdue. You may only redeem points into a participating frequent traveller program(s) in your name. Points transferred to a frequent traveller program account in any other name will be returned to your program account. Once points are redeemed for frequent traveller rewards, they may not be converted back to points.

Not sure what to do now, other than to push through a few transactions and see what happens...

Note that the Terms and Conditions says that once the points are out of Membership Rewards they're out:
