Interesting. Spoke to someone there who said "You have multiple income insurance products and we thought you may have made a mistake!" I asked if there was any problem with having multiples and told "no that's ok!" although it's probably not counting towards my bonus points (bonii? ;)) so i'll take a punt. $20 for a gamble. I can cope with that:)

Is anyone calling in to check/confirm that their QFF number entered via the site has been registered? I didn't get any email/mail confirmation of my QFF number notification to them and they might not award me the bonus points on the basis that they didn't have my info in the database.

I realise you are after the bonni :) but I believe that the OnePath rep was probably on the right track- for most people usually the benefits of income protection policies are offset against any other payments you may receive thus it it would be generally wasteful to have more than 1 properly constructed income protection policy.

i think that reference on that particular page to ANZ is relatively new, but on the One Path offer back in post 16 on January 17th the policies the offer applied to were listed and ANZ branded products were included....

i went to the ANZ site and through to where you can buy insurance and all the questions and the format and all is exactly the same, just a different colour scheme, so didn't know if it might be the same as taking out two life insurance policies, ie they wouldn't allow or would raise a query, so didn't go through and confirm it, not with the current deal itself waiting to be confirmed....

This thread makes me think, I'm sure that OnePath track where website hits are coming from. If anyone has linked it in this thread then they would link back to this site. Although .. I'm sure the traffic is minimal compared to the amount Qantas is sending them.

I made sure I followed the link from the members specials page on my QFF profile.

Just to add to the mess, looked at the CC statement, some policies have been billed as OnePath, some as ANZ. All applications were completed via the OnePath link on the QF website prior to the page updating to feature ANZ.

OnePath charges to my credit card have been pretty erratic. The 4 policy premiums were charged earlier this month (7th Feb), approx 2 weeks after my application and policy start date. I was charged again on 20th Feb, for only one of the 4 policies that I took up. The amount does not match any of the 4 charges that I received earlier in the month, but is within the expected range.

Interesting, I received another couple of emails in the last couple of days, one with my onepath user name, and the other with the password.

Logged on with these details, and now instead of getting an error message under "My Portfolio" I get "There are currently no active policies for this account" ...

not exactly a text book way of setting up systems for an offer to bring in lots of new members is it...

anyone know the best way to go about cancelling these policies at the 2 month mark? and have you waited for 2 months and 1 day, for example? I wrote to onepath to ask them how do I cancel and do they need any notice period but they haven't replied...

I would say just call them up, as you would when cancelling a credit card or car insurance policy. Have you read the PDS on this?

just checked... it says "You have the right to cancel your policy at any time" but then about cancelling direct debits: "Such notice should be received at least 14 days before the next debit is due". So presumably they could require the 14 days. Hopefully they would refund any overpaid premiums though.

I just wonder if infants qualify for the bonus points?
so is there a minimum age to apply for life insurance and a qantas FF member number?

I imagine 18 would be the minimum age to sign up and 59 is the maxiumu age they will insure...
