I did notice on the bottom of the list of qualifying policies it said ANZ branded life insurance policies as well and when you click through to ANZ there are two under that, so might take them out also...

Ok here goes i will call up as well and see if they say 4 x 10,000....

ok, after being on hold for a bit while she went off to answer my question about whether you could have multiple policies and get more than one 10,000 point bonus, she came back and said yes but capped at two coz of the 20,000 point cap per year... now as stated above we know the bonus isn't governed by that cap (i just couldn't be bothered going into it with her), but i guess its confirmation again of one of their call staff, after considering the offers T&C for several minutes while i was on hold saying that more than one bonus is available if taking out multiple policies...

I think we should all stop calling up and letting them know that we are on a good thing

It seems an automatic process of points awarded, so lets just play the waiting game.

i would agree with your tupper about alerting them...

i would just like to know for what is going round my head...

The points could be even cheaper than anticipated. Did anyone read the PDS for the Income Protection and spot this clause?

Healthy Living Benefit
If no claim is made under the policy in the first year after
the policy acceptance date, and provided all premiums have
been paid when due, and the policy is in force on the first
policy anniversary, we will pay you a one off Healthy Living
Bonus of $100. Payment of this benefit will be made within

60 days of the first policy anniversary of the policy

Instead of cancelling after 3 months premium (in the case of my quote $8.77) for a net cost of $26.31 (tax deductible for income protection), a total 13 months (to make sure the policy remains in force on the first anniversary will cost (assuming no premium increases) $114.01 also tax deductible - but should result in payment of of $100, giving a total net cost of $14.01 (and the one year's insurance).

Even if the bonus is taxable, the equation looks pretty good, and if it is not (and is actually a cash payment), then the return looks very good indeed.

Saw this and gave them a call about it. The guy seemed surprised that they were still offering it, and after checking the PDS himself he said that they post it out as a cheque for $100 after the 1 year policy anniversary.

Overall it appears to be a pretty good deal, so I purchased signed up for one :p

Welcome to AFF wokstar, and welcome to a well insured community :lol:

Had a missed call from an 02 number today, didn't leave a message (a pet hate). So I called back and it was a guy from Onepath to let me know I had 2 identical income protection policies! Granted I had done them at two different times and didn't realise I had already signed up for the income protection twice, simply told him I meant to purchase the other 3, he happily cancelled it and moved on! Maybe they are more switched on than we realise!

I had a missed call from an 02 number today as well (02 9234xx_x). I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. Was it the same number range for you too?

Same for me, I confirmed I had applied for them and wanted them no issue, so they are still current.

Yes, number range looks right.

Hah, i wonder if they've had a sudden jump in new policy's and are trying to get to the bottom of it ;)

All the regulars here seem to have purchased at least a couple of policies and i'm sure there's untold number of lurkers (me included) who have signed for a couple.

They should be thanking the AFF community:!:

I am sure the marketing department will be happy with the increase, until the cost of the healthy living benefit is applied ;).

Just got a call and they left a message this time. "Re: 4 income protection policies". They got it wrong, there were only 2 of them, and one of the others. I mistakenly bought two income protections (I've been charged for 4 not 5 so will call them to make sure i'm only getting my entitlements).

40k is just fine by me:)

Has anyone received any documentation from these people?

Obviously we're only buying for the points, but I have no policy paperwork, no confirmation email and not even a policy number! (didn't write it down when it came up on the screen... Oops)

At the end of the sign up you get an option to print the policy docos and Policy number. You can request a login to see your details online.

I applied for all 4, probably about 2-3 weeks now. Have only received the policy document for 1 in the mail.

I am trying to buy the Accident Cover Plus, but after the payment screen the window just closes itself.

Tried it twice with the same result, anyone else have the same problem?

As above, I've only received docs for the Accident Cover Plus. Incidentally it was the only one which wouldn't let me print out my policy docs on application so I guess it is by design.
