Where have u been Edison???

but yes, its all a very circular argument as to the 1x10k to 4x10k... (if its multiple there are even more opportunities...)
.

Pretty much under a rock :shock:

No somehow I wasn't that interested in insurance so never really paid attention to it ..... Better late than never! :lol:

Anyway, I signed up the following:

$8.07 per month for EasyProtect Income (Project Manager)
$8.19 per month for EasyProtect Life

Did everyone else sign up 4 contracts or 2 (for 20K cap) or 1?!!!!!!

And I am not that interested in shopping.....;)

But you just gotta do, what you have to do...to rack up points wherever you can when it stacks up.

yes, i'ms ure i had glossed straight over it on the member page till th OP put here and sparked my imagination then my level of interest in insurance, or at least One Path, leapt somewhat... :)

and think everyone is different as to how many policies...

10,000 Bonus Points With New OnePath Life Insurance

I just looked at QFF conditions and it says:

7. Can my Qantas Frequent Flyer points be cancelled?

OnePath may cancel or suspend Points in a Points Record (Points that are held before they are credited to Qantas Frequent Flyer) if the policy is, or is reasonably suspected by OnePath to be, operated fraudulently. Once Points are credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer program account they may be reversed if you were not entitled to them under these Terms and Conditions, and the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program will also apply.
Points in a Points Record at the time of death of the Policy Owner will be cancelled, and may not be claimed by any other person.

So watch out anyone who tries to sign up "1000x" policies for millions of points .....

As long as the 1000 policies are not fraudulent then they is not problem. We are still discussing entitlement to the points under the T&C

Well there aren't 1000X policies to be had under the T&C's anyway!

The T&C’s don’t state that you wont get multiple instances of 10,000 points for duplicate policies, though they also don’t say you will, so it’s a bit up in the air ;)

where does it say you will get 10k bonus points for EasyProtect Income insurance? all i can find is the 10k bonus points for life insurance. sure you will get 1 point per dollar spent but im not too sure that you will get the 10k bonus points too for income protection insurance?. btw since onepath is owned by anz dont you get bonus 1 point per dollar paid with an anz ff amex credit card too?

Given the hour of the day I not going to post links but the relevant bits on this question have been quotes in about the last 20 posts. To recap bonus points are earned on a new eligible policy. An eligible policy includes more than just life. Look in the fine print to find the link to the definition of eligible policy. From memory it is all in there together.

Nit sure about the ANZ FF card as I no longer have one of these.

Has anyone hit the 2 month mark on these policies yet?

Any word on when the bonus points are actually credited, as well as the ongoing points?

Must be getting close. I got onto it a bit late unfortunatley.

First post was the 16th Jan, I doubt the offer was on much before the second week of Jan so points are unlikely to be seen before March, which will be interesting to watch when it happens ;)

I cant remember where, but it says it takes a bit longer to give the 10k points, so we really wont know until probably April or May.

Personally I've signed up to 3 of the 4 policies. I didnt take out Income Insurance, because when I truthfully answered the questions it was going to be $50pm (I'm in a high risk job apparently).

So for me its $85 total for at least 10,000 points (if it turns out to be only one) - or up to $85 for 30,000 points. Either way I'm happy.

I'm too tired at the moment to find the link - but I remember that it is WRITTEN somewhere (not a verbal telephone call) that the 10k bonus is NOT included in the cap. The Cap is only for the $1 for 1 point bonus.

Therefore you could sign up to all 4 policies for 40k points.

It's here-http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/partners/lifeinsurance
The bonus 10,000 points offer is not available for new policies within the OneCare range of products and is only available to customers who: (a) apply for a new eligible OnePath policy with OnePath directly, either online via qantas.com/lifeinsurance or over the phone by calling 1300 379 693; (b) hold the eligible OnePath policy for a minimum period of two months; and (c) supply their Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details to OnePath within 30 days of taking up the eligible OnePath policy. Bonus Qantas Frequent Flyer points may take up to four months to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
Will be interesting to see how long it takes in reality for the bonus points to post.
Cheers

I believe someone else rang and asked , most likely will post after two months.
Again its a small risk for the points when I compare to the amount extra I will pay to fly Qantas to earn points.

I have taken out 3 of the 4 policies listed- I'm not game to take out more then one of one item. I'm more worried that cancelling a policy will be painful.

It's near the end of the T&C's on this page: Frequent Flyer - Earning Points - Life Insurance

Yes I know it says that

The number of points you can earn on Eligible OneCare, OneCare Super and World of Protection policies is capped at 20,000 points per year, per policy. Bonus 10,000 points not included in cap.

But again to be pedantic this does not 100% state that the 10,000 can be earned on more than one policy. It only clearly states that the bonus is not awarded within the 20K cap.

It kinda implies that it can be..but equally Onepath could only award one lot of 10000.

Well I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon trying to decide how to spend the points now they are coming through:

ONEPATH INSURANCE 11FEB11 - - - 19

:lol::lol::lol:

I called again - and was told all 4 apply.

Furthermore the bonus 10k points clearly says "Eligible OnePath Insurance Policies".

‘Eligible OnePath Insurance Policies’ are life insurance policies issued by OnePath (sold with or without the assistance of a licensed financial adviser) including:
• Term Life;
• Income Protection;
• Trauma;
• Accidental Death;
• Total & Permanent Disability; and
• ‘ANZ’ branded life insurance policies,
but excluding:
• third party branded life insurance policies (other than the ‘ANZ’ branded life insurance policies);
• Group Insurance policies being wholesale life insurance policies that are issued to corporations or trustees; and
• certain Heritage Retail Risk products including ANZ Protection Plan, ANZ Group Accident Plan, Group Accident Protection Plan, ANZ Group Insurance Plan, Guaranteed Acceptance Plan, Accidental Death Plan and Term Life Plan

edit: that's for the Qantas OnePath FF deals T&C - not specifically the 10k bonus - but it doesnt specifiy it anywhere else..

I did notice on the bottom of the list of qualifying policies it said ANZ branded life insurance policies as well and when you click through to ANZ there are two under that, so might take them out also...

Ok here goes i will call up as well and see if they say 4 x 10,000....

ok, after being on hold for a bit while she went off to answer my question about whether you could have multiple policies and get more than one 10,000 point bonus, she came back and said yes but capped at two coz of the 20,000 point cap per year... now as stated above we know the bonus isn't governed by that cap (i just couldn't be bothered going into it with her), but i guess its confirmation again of one of their call staff, after considering the offers T&C for several minutes while i was on hold saying that more than one bonus is available if taking out multiple policies...
