Hmmm....my application froze before i was asked / could enter my QF FF no....I got my policy pdf tho; better ring tomorrow and see if they can add my QF no, before I consider getting more policies.
I need to call back in 2 days to add my QF number:evil:. He did confirm that the QF 10000 pts will post after 2 months.

What are the members here doing? Waiting for the points to post, then cancellling or cancelling exactly at 2 months?

I chose monthly premiums so will cancel in the 2nd month... Hmmm good question though since the 2nd month ends at the time of the 3rd monthly payment which means it'll cost 3 months worth of premiums to ensure the bonus points come through before cancelling. Might read the fine print again...

There's something dodgy going on here... I purchased the policy about two weeks ago, have received no confirmation from them and have emailed twice to add my QFF number and have been ignored each time.

You can add the QFF number online provided you took down the policy number or saved the customized policy PDS that was a PDF on the final page:

I doubt the ANZ is dodgy, they are a bank, then again.....

I would cancel in the 3rd month as you need to hold the policy for a minimum of 2 months. I'm not sure if you will get a pro-rata refund if you cancel mid-month (like we do for car insurance policies). If so, it should be possible to cancel on the first or second day of the 3rd month after paying the 3rd premium.

I took out an income protection policy a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't see a place to add my QFF number... anyway i sent them an email asking about it and someone did call after a couple of days and i gave them my qff number and it was put in the system...

after reading on this thread about the 10k points being per policy seemingly in the T&C i took out three more policies on Saturday offered on that link through from the Qantas website, the major accident, life and major illness i think... anyway called up today to see about making sure they are all linked and about getting 10k for each and they still haven't appeared on the system, now i'm told it can take up to 5 working days for them to appear... the woman did say tht there was some limit of one 10k bonus per qantas frequent flyer number, she was going to go off and ask her administrators or something, but i didn't go into as i wanted to come back to the thread to just re-read what people had posted under the T&C's...

has anyone else managed to take more than one policy out and gotten more than one 10k point bonus allocated on the system?

I have a couple of policies, they all had the QFF number applied and money taken out of the CC, there is no mention at all about a limit, as I have stated previously its a poorly marketed campaign. I also have the screen shots of the terms and conditions!

yeah i re-read the T&C's and saw no limit of the amount of 10k rewards.. just hope they will live up to it... be nice for someone to confirm it with them and then others can quote the precedent...

Thanks for that, markis10....I think I know why I missed the opportunity to add my QFF as I was doing the application....it is well hidden! Anyway, I have added my QF FF no. as per the link you provided, and maybe I might buy one more policy tonite:mrgreen:

Where does it state that?

The wording I can see on the 10k does not seem to be defined that precisely.

Simply put, there is no limit mentioned, nor is there inference that it's for the first policy only.

Nor is there mention that multiples of 10,000 points will be awarded. It is implied, but not stated.

10,000 bonus points may be a total, or it could be a multiple.

Hence my question.

Logic would dictate that its unlimited as there is no difference between 1 person signing up for 4 policies and 4 people signing up for 1 policy in terms of the business case for the insurer to a certain extent. If there is a limit it should be mentioned, as opposed to assuming a limit when its not.

I'm confused by the conditions on qantas

* The bonus 10,000 points offer is not available for new policies within the OneCare range of products and is only available to customers who: (a) apply for a new eligible OnePath policy with OnePath directly, either online via qantas.com/lifeinsurance .......

It says its not available but then it is ?

If I were you, I would assume the favourable interpretation and have them to prove otherwise if you don't get bonus points for each new policy taken up. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, they may though if the T&C is not as tight as they intended it to be.

That confused me as well, you bolded the wrong bit, these policies are OnePath policies not OneCare (OneCare is not mentioned once in the policy document or on the website, I'm assuming it's a different set of policies).

Well I agree that it should be mentioned, but it is not.

And for some of us unlimited can mean just that ;)

T&C can be one's friend, or one's enemy.

Yes I assume that they would most likely give you 10,000 per policy for multiple policies, but it is not specified.

The opening line of the T&C also does not seem to make sense either...

I'm still waiting for my email confirmation of my policies, after applying and paying for them over the weekend. Looks like it's not an automated process.

You will be waiting a while, the confirmation is generated at the time in the form of a PDF.

Can confirm, I downloaded my PDF after the process.

I know but my browser crashed when I tried printing it so I didn't manage to save the confirmation details. But it did say that a copy will be emailed though.

No emails here either. I went to their self service section on the website and applied for account to see what I could manage online, apparently it takes 3 days! for them to send you a password ...
I stuffed up again. When applying for my second policy, I managed to enter my QF frequent flyer no. this time but accidentally closed my browser before I could save the pdf document!:evil:. Fortunately, all is not lost as I did write down my policy no:. Have applied for the online account, so will wait for the PW which apparently takes 3 days:(

I think that its fair to assume its unlimited, but time will tell. At $16 per 10K, its not a bad risk!
