I'm in the same boat, been trying for the past hour. Thought it was my credit cards (spent too much at the Boxing day sales today ) before I jumped on this site and found out that there are fellow AFF sufferers. Their system must be running on another country's time or their IT decided to plan an outage without consulting their business. Not happy.

Thanks for screwing me around Qantas, have been attempting to buy tickets since 15 minutes before the stated cut-off time but the site continues to experience 'difficulties'.

FFS!

To put things in perspective....yes it's another one of those first world problems. I got my fare share of vouchers so I cant really complain I guess...

But reality is that from 23:15 EDST, it was not possible to purchase the said "bonus" vouchers (44 min early the offer seemed to have closed / been taken down)

My last voucher email was received at 22:43CDST (23:13 EDST), guess it was good while it lasted...

Red Roo is on leave.

Just tried to buy some also and got the error as detailed above.

Maybe time for a Red Roo PM.

Well guys I had no issue with my top up vouchers at 11pm. Lets face it if you leave it till 30 minutes before the cut off, after you've had a month or so to plan your strategy, no point blaming Qantas. The issue is more with your indecision. ;)

I used to be indecisive but now i'm not so sure, Left it until 8:45 PM WST and got the same error

It just reflects people's indecision, you had an entire month to do it! And sure while you may say QF has an obligation to their customers to honour their word, people point out it's another instance that QF show poor standards - if they do it that consistently then why do consumers like you still leave it to the last minute? Pretty sure who's the numpty here.

Got my last $250 voucher at 2313 EDST last night - just lucky I missed the unanounced cut off time.

It is worth remebering though that there was no benefit leaving the purchase of Qantas vouchers to the absolute last minute as all vouchers issued on the 27/12/2013 will expire on the 27/12/2014 no matter what time they were purchased during the day (or night).

My excuse for the late purchase time was an incorrectly entered credit card number on an earlier transaction:oops: - no voucher came through (of course) and once the reason finally dawned on me several hours later, I had one last go and sucessfully added to my collection from the 26th.:)

I'm not overly worried... After all its a loss for Qantas more than for me. Having purchase over 2k in vouchers when the promo started, I was just looking to buy another 4x 250 just as a "top-up"

1 x 250 is all I could secure....still better than nothing :D

But what's wrong with wanting to purchase right up to the cut off? After all isn't that what the t&c's are there for...?

All of mine purchased on 27th had Your Gift Voucher is valid until 13 December 2014 on the confirmation page. The voucher itself when the email arrived has Expires 27 December 2014.
Could be confusing for some people, confused me but then I am easily confused

The voucher itself says: Valid until: 26 Dec 2014
And when redeeming the voucher on-line it says: Your voucher is valid until 27 December 2014 .

I thought I was the only one whom QF Gremlins paid a visit.

Bought on 27 Dec 2013

'Expiry Date' 12 Dec 2014 on confirmation email

Voucher expiry date 27 Dec 2014

And a visit to the Gift Voucher page still shows the Promo and unless you read the T&C you would not know the Promo is finished.

They give you the voucher reference number immediately that the payment is processed. It is possible to realise immediately if the payment has been made or not by being presented with a reference number. On your first failed attempt did you get a reference number? If you did then you may have 2 vouchers.

This is an important point, you don't need to wait for the email. All that is required is that reference number. Always write down that number when purchasing.

Better get screen shots of all those! ;)

Why? This is a well know issue. The voucher itself states the correct expiry.
