I've only ever seen 15% and 20%. Of late I think they've all been 15% with the exception of bank specific offers. I'm definitely taking advantage of the 15% bonus points!

[h=2]Offer History[/h]Sometimes knowing how Virgin has run this offer in the past may help you to decide if you should take advantage of it now. Here’s the offer history:

  • May 2015: 15% transfer bonus, 15% discount
  • November 2014: 15% transfer bonus
  • May 2014: 10% transfer bonus, 10% discount
  • October 2013: 15% transfer bonus, 15% discount
  • April 2013: 15% transfer bonus
  • October 2012: 15% transfer bonus
  • September 2011: 20% bonus

Pushed points from Amex early this morning and Citi this afternoon. Let's see which credit faster.

I had better think this over as I have a Citibank warehouse of points.

I transferred both Amex and Citi around 1.30pm yesterday, and they both hit my Velocity account some time in the past few hours, including the bonus on the Amex.

Just waiting until this months points hit my CBA account (12th) and then making the transfer. Nowhere near the balances others are sitting on but enough to get what I want :)
(I did do a trf 11 months ago so accrued more than enough in just a year!)

I do wonder if this means they won't be putting out any Points for SC offers later down the track. I used and abused that last year although it would be handy again I think the bonus VFF points rather than SC will be better for me this year.

err what the...

Transferred some points from my citi account on friday after seeing the offer.

Checked account today, points there, but no bonus. It also dates the activity as 30th April, despite friday being 1st of May.
Logged into citi account, they also list the transaction date as 30th of April

To check that I wasn't crazy, I checked my confirmation email that i received moments after the transfer, and sure enough that one was dated Friday the 1st of May.

So, whats the bet that virgin will try and weasle out of the 15% bonus somehow?

Amex applied the bonus immediately, and points were in my vff account on the same day (Sat 2/5). My citi transfer (also done on Saturday) hasn't arrived yet so i can't comment on that absence of bonus sorry jlien... bit of a worry though. I'm counting on the extra 15% to get the points i need for a third ticket.

Same thing happened to me, I phoned them up, they suggested I wait 5 business days then call again ie: next weekend.

Tried to access my Citi acc over the weekend numerous times to move points but they were having problems with the site

calling up about my issue now, this is painful, the csr seems to know nothing about the promotion.

edit:

Now they're saying i transferred on the 30th of April, so I miss out.
Trying to explain to them that the date is wrong, and that I transferred it on Friday after seeing the promotion.

sigh

Thanks for the tip & have done so.

Another data point: I transferred my points on the Friday and they've just come through today with the bonus.

Best of luck jlien. Hope you get it sorted out!

Just transferred a bunch of MR points over too, hopefully this one has a better outcome :-|

Hi Jlien and anyone else who transferred points over from Citi on 1 May but who have not received the bonus. Apologies from Velocity!

Citi have been made aware of the issue and have confirmed that the bonus points will be honoured for all point transfers made on the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] of May. Outstanding bonus points will be credited to Velocity accounts as soon as possible.

No weasles here :)

Yay!! Thanks :D

I'm assuming the 15% is only for Virgin metal and not eg: Etihad flights?
