Oh, I hadn't seen it before - I received in in my inbox today.

Why are people calling them? All that will do is alert them to a potential problem.

But it seems like they have tightened up and will no longer cancel the policy via email, do you have any template you can share that will require them to act on the email?

Edit: Tried to cancel one via email, failed so I called. But still got 2 other policy to go once the bonus points arrive.

They cannot refuse a written request to cancel.

I have already canceled by email and will do so again.

If they attempt to refuse then tell them you will refer their conduct to APRA.

If they continue to charge your credit card you can always organise a charge back.

Just got my policy sent through. It has the following text in it:

"By insuring <redacted> you’ve helped another pet in need. Woolworths will be donating $10 from this policy to help fund PetRescue’s Matchmaker project – an innovative new adoption program designed to lighten the load for rescue organisations, improve the experience for all potential pet adopters and find the right home for pets faster."

Considering my fortnightly premium is less than $10, I'd say that's a winner.

Anyone else get the 10% off groceries offer?

Even though I cancelled earlier this week, this 10% discount was still applied to my shop this morning.

Total cost of the policy was was just under $20.
WW donating $10 of that to PetRescue and I got around $10 back from my shop this morning.

So it seems WW hasn't made any money for these points. :D

Have read this entire thread and remain a bit unclear on one thing.
Seems I have to cancel during the cooling off period to avoid a potential cancellation fee, yet I may not have (and/or wont ever) receive the points. correct?

Just catching up with this thread now, right from the first post I could predict exactly where this was going, all we need now are notifications to the RSPCA for people who have insured their 145 pet cats at one address!

I imagine someone from Woolie's insurance sales/promo department will be clearing out their desk on Monday.

Urgh. They’re asking me to call them to finalise the cancellation via text too. Will call a bit later

So what is experiences in time frame Policy Purchase to pts arriving WW Rewards Acct?

I took out my first policy on the 10th of Feb. Still haven’t received any points although it hasn’t been 30 days yet. I’m sure there is some people on here getting close to the 30days. Interested to see what happens when people with multiple policies hit the 30 day mark.

Had my second set of fortnightly premiums taken out. Hopefully not a third but suspect that will be the case as it will be around the 30 day mark.

Yep... what do I do now? 30 days and no points? I'm guessing an email to Woolworths insurances demanding the points as outlined in the original contract?

On a positive note you have 12 days to get them moving on the points before another premium is deducted.

Can anyone assist with an email to contact them about this? I checked the original email and it was a no reply thing @woolworthsinsurance.

Thanks

Day 30 today and no points. My Woolworths rewards activity is showing a mystery 1000 bonus points a week ago and not sure what that was for but still no points for the legitimate insurance I took out for our dog.
