Just a quick update again:

HSW are very pleased we are at the venue again - we are talking about a few things, today they mentioned their intent is to outdo their service from last year. I thought they did a wonderful job last year looking after us, hat off to Kanu who is working her butt off to accommodate us bunch!

It's looking like it will be a lowered charge for non house guests (read between the lines!). I will list the prices as soon as I have final agreement with the Hilton.

All's looking good so far :)

Many thanks munitalP, for all the hard work you are putting in up front. The Hilton staff members were excellent last year. I'm really looking forward to this.

I'm now booked on the JQ flight.

Back MEL-SYD on Sunday 1630 (QF).

That JQ flight on Saturday is going to be pretty full ;)

If only JohnK would come along and guarantee a delay.

There still may well be a significant delay as I am travelling to MEL that afternoon! ;)

If I'm not mistaken, this will be Ewing's first ever JQ flight?

Nope.

I've flown JQ 5 times, 4 of which have been JQ35 (and out of those, 2 in StarClass). I don't mind the A330s.

Another time was on AVV-SYD, seated in 1A during the Avalon air show. Not a fan of the A320s.

The one time I decided to get smart and booked a cheap fare without seat selection I was given 59F (ie: the very back). Even the FA was surprised, given that the flight was *very* lightly loaded. Needless to say, myself and the person I was travelling with (with permission) moved ourselves and had 3 seats between two people :)

You do know you can select a seat with OLCI 48 hours before the flight?

Just a few notes:

There are 1 or 2 spots still available for dinner - the restaurant has allowed us to add a few more to the booking, I have a couple of PM's as additions, thank you but if you want to come, PM me. I will open the deposit page up next week or so and you can look after that then.

I am in final stages of confirming a couple of guests, TBA as soon as I have conformation

Hilton access to exec lounge will be on the same basis as last year at this stage, I cannot see it changing.

Cheers

I agree.
Thanks for all the hard work putting this together munitalP

Being "out west" I have had to enlist anat0l to help with a bit of hotel communication stuff - thanks mate, I'll buy you a vino at the exec lounge :)

As munitalP has alluded to, I've emailed the current list of attendees booked at the HSW onto the hotel. The list as it stands can be found in post #5 in this thread (the last update has been sent to the mods about 5 minutes ago, so it may not be quite updated yet).
