Suggests that duplicate accounts from same email are being targeted.

Call came from a Singapore number (+65) in case some peple are not keen to answer
Indeed only fictitious sign ups which cannot be substantiated are the target - bona fide sign ups have nothing to fear.

Same call for me today. Fortunately they can see my 4 yr old is booked on real flights and is a real person so no troubles with the call. She was very nice

I received the call too, despite that I was one of the first ones to sign up before the whole audit thing.

Same thing, the lady told me there may have been security breach on my email account that it has been used multiple times. They were for my 2 boys, 6&8 years old. She asked me for their names and KF number. Once verified there was no problem.

I agree that's not a rookie mistake. My sons are too young to have their own email address anyway. But IMO email doesn't mean very much. I can easily create an email account for a fictional character.

Where a Velocity account has received points from more than one KrisFlyer accout, all but one of the transactions are being revesed.

That's what I heard

Fair enough if they cheated the system.

But if one account received multiple through legitimate (i.e. within the published terms and conditions) family pooling and they reverse those, then no not fair and probably a breach of consumer law.

Re: 5,000 Free KrisFlyer Miles for New Accounts (or 3,703 Velocity Frequent Flyer Poi

That's fair enough I suppose?

I don't know the full story so I'm holding off passing judgement yet. But if someone was setting up duplicates that weren't legit, then it is absolutely fair enough.

Do you mean all in the same name?

Re: 5,000 Free KrisFlyer Miles for New Accounts (or 3,703 Velocity Frequent Flyer Poi

From what I have heard, it is where one Velocity account has been the recipient from multiple Krisflyer accounts. One of the issues with this is that it shows multiple Krisflyer accounts belonging to one person. Family pooling is only a wrinkle if the points were then pooled to another account.

I can't believe anyone can be that stupid in opening several account in the same name with KF. It's clearly against T&C and so easy to catch.

I agree- I can't believe people are that dumb.

There is an instance where 100+ signups saw points channelled to a certain 'family' within Velocity - an even finer comb is now being deployed - again genuine cases have nothing to fear - multiple 'sign ups'? Well you must have known there was a risk.

From one other forum....

So i was totally abusing the system with as many sign ups as possible haha even thought about outsourcing it and create 100’s of accounts

Anyway i’ve done some legit ones for my family but for some reason it’s not letting me link the Velocity number. Does anyone know if you can link new KrisFlyer with a New Velocity?

oh dear god.......

Re: 5,000 Free KrisFlyer Miles for New Accounts (or 3,703 Velocity Frequent Flyer Poi

Not a mistake at all.. He has been a VA member for 5 yrs and flown plenty of times and uses my email address. I don't think it is unreasonable for young children to use a parent email...The sign up for him was as per the offer from SQ..they gave me the points and they now reside in my VA account..
All family accounts, including adults, use my email address because the adults simply do not use email or the internet.
