Advice on champagne

Haha yes of course :) each palate is different... Just chucked in my 2c for giggles. I know my family doesn't rate Bollinger as high as I do.

The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blanc 2004 was 115 EUR and the Grands Crus was 40 EUR. Looked to be reasonable value on a quick DMs check from the Taittinger caves ;) Just as an aside, they were serving this Prelude Grands Crus alongside the Brut Rose at the BA First Lounge in LHR T3 on way here on Tuesday, as well. A lovely couple of lounge drops! I actually prefer the T3 First Lounge to the one in T5.

Awesome, great value - did you have to book in advance for a tour?

Nope - we just showed up and away we went about 10 minutes later... but unfortunately, it was the last tour of the day (4:30?), and it was in French! Probably worth checking when the English tours run to be on the safe side. Thankfully, SWMBO is relatively fluent in the language, and I know a little, so we felt we did ok - better than missing out, as we were only there the one day. For the tours, they have a few price points (between about 16 & 30 EUR), depending on whether you want to taste 1, 2, or 2 + the Comtes de Champagne... We took option 3, of course.

Cheers.

Slightly OT but someone should put a starthere referral in the referrals area of the forum.

They have a tiered cash back system for a lot of sites and you progress through referrals. I don't need any more as I'm "Founder" level somehow!
