AFF Cruise #2. Rerun. Crown Princess 4 nights 25-29 January 2025

Talking of pricing.

One option that was available and I will check if it’s still the case is that if prices go down prior to final payment you could/can apply to get the new lower price.

May be this is what happened to me. I saw the new price after a few pages into the booking (page 4 or something)

Princess started a new promotion a couple of days ago with a discount on Verandah suites plus an On Board Credit. I guess this is added at the booking stage as I could not see it applied in just the description of the cruise and prices.

Princess doesn't look as good as Celebrity, but I do like 4 nights over Aus Day. And because i normally wouldn't ever agree to attend something with strangers, the less days the better 😂

Celebrity Carnival Splendor also has a 4-night over June 2024 long weekend, Sydney to Moreton Island if you wanted something sooner (I don't know anything about Carnival Cruises)

discount on Verandah suites plus an On Board Credit
OBC for the 4 night Tas cruise is $50 per room. Discounts on balcony for this promo is for 3rd or 4th guests in the same room

Is that Carnival Splendor?

… and if it is I do not recommend it for our group. Too many kids. Ie It has a different target audience than the AFF mob.

I normally avoid travel during school holidays and public holidays, so January isn't enticing. However I am already committed to Silversea in November, so that date doesn't suit either.
I'll wait and see how things pan out, and if January is the preferred date will make a decision then.

You can do both!

I mean we have already done 2 cruises this year and have another in April and 2 more in September.

School would be due to return that week so unlikely many kids would be onboard.

And if we do this cruise, we will be doing three! Drron? Maybe six 😂

As the majority seem to be happy for the 25th January 2025 Crown Princess option and one or two have already made temporary bookings I think we should go with that.

I will rename the thread to include the specific cruise and I will also set up a seperate thread for those interested in the Celebrity Edge cruise on 13 November 2025.
