ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Just got off QF36 with the new seats (VH-QPA). Used the preset "take off" recline option. Crew then came and put it back to full upright.
So much for "can recline for take off and landing".

Doh! We didn't have any issues using the preset on our recent trans-con flights.
 
Not at all impressed to find that QF is back to flying 737's on the BNE-Perth route. Ended up in one on Friday in a row of 3 with a giant of a man sitting in the middle seat. He did his best to minimise his impact, but it made for a really uncomfortable flight.

I've noticed more A330's back on the BNE/PER run eg QF651 mid-morning used to be a 767 then went to 738 after the 767's retired and it's recently back to a widebody which explains why QF594 PER/BNE the late evening flight is now an A330 as the same a/c that ops QF651 generall ops QF594.

QF589, QF597 & QF767 are all A330's. What flight were you on?

Hoping someone might be able to assist - flying SYD-PER on 03/12/15 QF575 and it is showing old config 330 - can you please let me know the best seats in Y???

44 A, B, J, and K already gone - are 44 F and G and good (need legroom as I am tall and 2 seats together)

and if I can get would 23 A, B or J, K be the pick? Then next best options if not these??

Or any other good seats - (apart from J)???

If row 23 is the bulkhead and you are taller than about 5'9", don't bother. Choose a normal row and stretch out underneath the seat in front.

The QF597/650 rotations are now generally 737s. The A330s that used on be on that rotation have probably gone onto the QF651/594 services.
 
It was indeed in Y in row 4. No shadow, but plenty middle seats free behind. I actually think it was right that QF gave the guy extra leg room as he was very tall too, it just made for a very uncomfortable flight

My apologies must learn to read properly :D
 
VH-EBE out of SIN as QF6012, believed to be heading to SYD.
VH-EBC will go into Refurb soon, potentially tonight on return as QF598. Edit or not - went out again as QF767

Sorry if this has been asked but is it possible to tell if you've got a refurbished A330-200 based on the Y seat map? I'm flying Y and have applied for a points upgrade on QF1251 (SYD-PER) on Jan 2 2016.

That flight is presently scheduled to be operated by a refurbished A332.
 
I was just horrified to discover that QF81 SYD-SIN this coming Saturday - which had been showing as a refurbished 332, until very recently - is now showing as operated by an ex-JQ 332. What cruel and unusual torturer would do such a thing to people for 8 hours? The last time I was on one of these was when I was forced to fly on one out of Hawaii to Sydney with no Qantas flight on the day, and I still have nightmares years later... Fingers, toes and whatever else are crossed that this will not actually happen. Cue foetal position and low repetitive murmuring! :shock: :(

How strange! Those aircraft are pretty much designated as domestic so I'm really surprised to see them operating QF81.

In fact, EBA operated yesterday's QF41/42 but at least it's refurbished. That config is neither. I guess they are really out of aircraft at the moment.

Refurbished and newly painted VH-EBE entered service this morning. Now 18 A330-200s are in the Qantas Fleet. VH-EBC will enter Brisbane maintanence for refurbishment in the 25th of November.

Operating aircraft seatmap now shows A332 suites, once again... I think you were right with your suggestion of this being VH-EBE, moa999!

Thanks for the note that row 23 is not going to suit. Normal seats do not suit that well either at 6'6" !!!

Any other information or suggestions here as to the layout - or even to check what type of aircraft is scheduled to operate this flight?
