Just put through an upgrade request for my SYD-Perth flight on 21/03/2016 and Qantas Live Chat says it's got the new config for business. Does anyone know what the odds are normally of scoring these upgrades? It's for 2 pax. The instant confirmation didn't go through.

What's your status. Unfortunately never a guarantee but hopefully you're in luck!

I've applied for an upgrade on Jan 2nd from Y to J and it's currently showing as a refurbished A330 so fingers are crossed!!!

I am flying Syd to Perth on 25/01/16 on QF575 and returning on 31/01/16 on QF580. How do i find out what the current config is for those flights. (Both A330's). I put in for an upgrade a fair few months ago but am currently going off the Flightradar website and just presuming what planes they frequently use for these routes/times.

Danger's table on the last page might help here. I think the refurbished A330-200s have their economy cabins as rows 23-39 and 44-58 so if that appears on your economy seat map you should be in luck. As always though the plane might change before then.
 
Thanks Chrizztofa. Just looking at the above couple of posts it looked as if those guys already knew what the planes were and i didn't know if there was a database detailing that. I'm sure things will change in the next couple of months!
 
Flew the new configure PER-MEL today. Very nice but feels a little cramped (2A). Very comfortable in the sleeping position. However flight was an hour late departing and then waited 20 minutes in MEL first for a gate to become availability and then for them to get the air bridges working.

shame about having to fly back tomorrow on a 737!

Hi lufcbrown - your outbound on QF575 is currently showing an older configuration of the A332, with a 2-2-2 layout. Not sure if this is Skybed Mk 1 or recliners... the inbound on QF580 is currently showing as the refurbished A332 with suites... but as you would have seen countless times on here... anything can happen between now and departure on either leg! Good luck.

The best i got was a response from Qantas on Facebook who sent me to a link of an A330-300 seat map!!!
 
Any tips on the best seats for couples in the new A333 J? I've booked 5A,5E as they seem closer together with only the aisle between them instead of the divider? Although they don't seem as private being more exposed to aisle traffic Rows 1-4 are blocked at the moment and I'd prefer not to be further back towards galley/toilet.
