yes I would rather do a business class outbound but it appears qantas.com only allows the business selection on the return flight.

am flying to Hawaii late november and I think it may be on EBG, EBL. whats the chances that these planes will have the upgrades completed by november.

Should be complete by then, but QF are still using the EBG/EBL seatmap into 2017

On upgrades
Looks like VH-QPJ (the last 333) has entered maintenance on previous schedule along with VH-EBC (for a check only like EBA I'm guessing)

*N381HA 330-200 - In 21/4/16 Exp 16/5 Hawaiian check
*VH-EBC 330-200 - In 2/5/16 Exp 23/5 already refurbed
VH-QPJ 330-300 - In 3/5/16 Exp 1/6

Reported here that QF will conduct three checks for HA this year, so only one more after N381HA

I booked my flight tonight but this seating map for seat selection doesn't seem to match seat guru or seat alerts. bassinets are showing in row 4 instead of row 6

Have felt lucky each time I get the refurbed business class suite on the Qantas A330 and the chances of getting one to go across Australia are improving each month.

HNL flight??
Looks like the seatmap for EBG/EBL - the two remaining SkybedI aircraft

That's definitely the VH-EBG/VH-EBL seat map we have got on our SYD/HNL QF3 flights last year and last month.

How did you end up booking the fares in J & Y? Did you book direct with QF or go through a TA? I notice that J fares ex HNL for November are approx AUD1700.00 yet the cheapest J outbound is AUD2,439.00.

When I tried to do a dummy booking Y outbound and J inbound (as it didn't show vv on the QF website) it wouldn't let me select flight components for the different cabins ie it would onlly let me select Y outbound and Y return. It must be a system error with the website.

@ozbeachbabe - I booked on line with QF but had to ring them back last night to change as I booked J & Y but BC was the return flight not the the outbound flight. Thought they could swap it around but they stated it was impossible. So I had to change the booking to BC both ways $2439 both ways. should have booked last friday when it was cheaper. I couldn't work out where the bassinets were located so I booked in 5A on both flights

I think it may be too late to cancel the return J ticket with same day no-fault rule as I'm pretty sure it has to be done on the same calendar day not within 24 hours but you could give it a go. Just tell reservations you want the AUD2,439.00 J fare outbound and the AUD379.00 economy sale fare inbound.

The BSCTs on EBG & EBL in J are rows 1AB 1JK & 4AB JK attached to the bulkhead. Here's a link to the seat map on the QF website. Note that it's the first option the 36/199 international config.

I did change it last night but it took 2 hours wait on the phone before I spoke to anyone

I would love to see the rest but alas, this is all I see in this useless iPhone app...
Wouldn't you know it. Can't post as apparently I'm not logged on. FFS.
Try again...

Same issue on Android new version (although i can see to Column 5 with the resolution on my tablet).
Old app works fine - we've just lost the auto fit on images

And looks like VH-EBC is in for a check as well (assuming similar timeframe to EBA)

VH-EBC already out after an 11-day check.

Not clear on replacement it's not VH-EBM which I'd previously guessed
