that looks like middle seat blocked?
Yep - and definitely one of the original "Qantas Group" 332 configurations.

Qantas started blocking the middle seat in the 2x3x2 configurations around the time VA introduced their Coast to Coast lay flat services.

Meaning QF but went to JQi?

I wonder if the middle seat will be blocked or have a "workspace" installed?

For reference, the seatmap for an intl configured 332 is attached below. The two mini-cabins are separated by a galley between rows 3 and 4. There are 6 rows of J in total.

Here is the seatmap. I've not seen this before on a QF A332:

Checking MMB (full site) today and the seat map has completely disappeared! (so another MMB fault?) The reason seems to be due to an aircraft swap from the A332 to an A333 (international). MMB couldn't handle that seat 2D no longer exists?

Fortunately MMB was not showing a blank on the mobile site - it just couldn't show where seat 2D was - so at least I could select a new seat on the A333.

And ... drat... a last minute change to a 738!! I hope it's got AVOD at least!

And I couldn't move to the earlier A330 MEL-PER flight either - it was full.

Oh well... :)

Was it the same crew??
I was unaware that QF crew were cross-trained on aircraft types.

The J-class cabin crew told me they were supposed to be on the A330 and that the 737 galley was too small for the meal offerings.

Just booked late Oct/early Nov SYD-MEL (Sunday and Saturday flights) and both are A330 s (a 300 and a 200)

The Qantas Business Suite reveal will take place next week on Tuesday 21 October from 10.30am. Qantas to launch new business class seat next week - Australian Business Traveller

According to the article QF are aiming for six A330s to be fitted with the new seats by March and a further six by July 2015. That is pretty solid and quicker than what I was expecting. Amazing how a little competition can move things along :D

You beat me to it. I just finished reading that article.

That's still 9 months to get 12 planes refitted... I would be hoping they'd move just a tad quicker :p

Wont they also have more than 12 A330's?
