Do you think itll be flown on the Jakarta and trans tasman routes? or will they be left to the 'Domestic' configured -200's?

Think it will be likely they will be used on the longer routes such as SYD-PEK (unless they keep EBG/EBL on it) and perhaps SYD-MNL or even SIN services as they are all longer.

Looks like EBS will be back in service soon given QF has now released the seat map configuration publicly.

I booked an upcoming J ticket, BNE-PER (QF767) in late August, the aircraft is a -200, and the seat map is showing up as a 2-2-2 config, with 6 rows of J. I can only assume this sector will be flown with EBG/EBL, although I haven't seen this a/c flown on long-haul domestic sectors? (I could be wrong).

Most recently EBG/EBL have been SYD based, mostly operating to PEK but also on a variety of other routes.

As these 332Ls come into the fleet, I guess they will mostly be tasked back to domestic.

Given there will only be 6 I'd expect them to be mostly used on longer routes where there is a regulatory requirement for the crew rests

So SYD-PEK definitely.

I'd also expect they might be used on low demand days on SYD-HKG and SYD-SIN, possibly even SYD-HNL (although WF is upguaging to a 744 on this route)

EBG and L do occasionally appear in Perth, appears to happen when QF107/108 is upgraded to a A333.

-EBS is back in-service operating QF61 to NRT.

I notice the seatmap for a KIX-SYD sector has been changed to the 27J config.

I don’t know the fitout they’ve gone with, so any advice on best J seats is appreciated.

2 adults & 1 child travelling.

See the seatmap in post above.

Note the offset.

For a triple I'd say 2E/2F/1K or 4E/4F/3K would be best, utilising the F/K pairs both being aisle side

I believe that the a332s with this configuration (27J224Y) will fly QF117 118 in mid August.
Are the new a332s equipped with the latest IFE that is used in a333?

Despite looking at that seat map twice and the previous config several times, I had missed that the A and K seats are offset. Thanks for the advice: it will now be easier to assist Miss H across the aisle.

Reported that VH-EBS has now completed the refurb to the new config:

Ok it appears you’re using flight tracking software moa999.

Any idea what configuration QF71/72 is going to use? I’m guessing without asking or checking it’s primaile going to be domestic A332’s.

VH-EBS out on its first PEK service today after having done a few shorter BKK and domestic services

I would assume that it would include the latest IFE, otherwise would be a bit difficult to get the logic behind these updates. In all seriousness, the unfurbished ones should not even be flying to any destinations... it is a points and money rip off for those who pay or use points for an upgrade and get a very different product to the updated version.

Before this round of updates, it already had the new UI and the content is exactly the same as it is in the A333, just with the older screen.

If the question is whether this update included new IFE hardware then I'd wager a guess that dollars and cents won. Happy to be proven wrong if that is the case. :)
