Re: QANTAS BNE-SIN J Class seating
yep as a couple you would be better off in 3F and K (or A and E)

The refurb of the A330s will continue into late 2016 so nothing is guaranteed until then.
At the moment 4 of 10 330-300s have been completed and 1 is currently in the shop.
So by September your odds are looking at better than 50% (5 of 9)'
Could not agree more.Call me old fashioned but PAX taking 8+ hour flights with many overnight should take priority over PAX flying to PER on corporate rates.
If QF hadn't stuffed their fleet management they wouldn't be in the position of having to refurb their entire A330 fleet from scratch months after doing the same to their 767 fleet then ditching them.
What if it is not the new J suites on your aircraft. Still no guarantee by then, although you would hope !Can't wait to try this product, even though I have to wait until next May (my belated birthday gift to myself)! I was deciding between CX J to HK or QF. QF won!

Mmmmm, maybe!Probably a silly question, but which QF aircraft flies to HKG from SYD? I thought it was a combo of A380s and 747s but do A330s fly this route too? Or are they the QF connections to MEL or BNE? I must admit that if I was going to fly J from Syd (on an A388 or 747), it might be worth hopping over to BNE or MEL since the A330's J seat is a lot better!
I forgot about the F seats in the A388. I'd never get into those so didn't even consider them.Mmmmm, maybe!
Depends if you score a seat in the F cabin on the A380.
Has the A330 SYD-CGK route now been increased to 5 services per week? I thought it was only 3?
moa999, given that there has been further change, could you please redo your 'TT' - 'terrific table' as to how the refurbishments are going (fleet regos. and dates in and out, plus next one(s) to be done if known) as it is a very handy resource for many AFFers.
Wouldn't any temporary increase in SYD - CGK and return to five a week be to do with the ending of the Muslim Ramadan period and consequent holidays for many Indonesians? Not so long ago, QF ran four times a week to CGK (same as to MNL, although one day of operation each week differed from the MNL flights) but unlike MNL, which is often QF's highest load factor route, flights to CGK were cut back to three a week.
Given the amount I am spending with QF on their international fares I want more than a 50% chance by September.

As for the A330 it is being scheduled at exactly the right time from both a fleet age perspective and competition perspective.
