SYD-HNL might be the longest route distance wise (by a mere 200 miles) but it's not the longest flight time wise... shanghai takes 30 minutes to an hour longer flying time than HNL (depending on whether HNL is west or eastbound).
one would think shanghai would be a more important business market than Honolulu in terms of providing passenger amenities?
The issue with the 333 ex shanghai is that it is weight restricted. Not sure if the same applies out of HNL given the shorter flying time.
Given that SYD-HNL is the longest route the A330 fleet flies, I suspect that HNL will always get the A333 (2 toilets) once the refurbs are completed.
