AmEx Platinum Card: 325,000 Bonus Points (Spend $5000 in 3 Months), $450 Travel Credit, $400 Dining Credit, $1450 Annual Fee

When do the bonus points generally post for the charge card? Is it immediately with the transaction that takes you over the spend requirement like the MR earning credit cards? And is the annual fee charged at the end of the first statement? Wondering whether it’s possible to transfer out the bonus points, use the travel (and other) credits, pay off what’s owing and then close the card before being charged the annual fee? Have been successful in doing this with the Explorer card previously.
Unsure re. annual fee.

However, points generally post instantly once spend is met. My memory is from once the spend has been posted, not pending.

Does anyone know if you still get the Sign up Bonus if you hold a different Amex Card?

I hold the Amex Explorer (which is Ascent Program) not the Premium would i be eligible for the bonus points?

My Wife has the David Jones American Express Card would she get the bonus points?
I signed up thru a link form a work mate. Ive had a Qantas Amex for years and I still got the bonus on Amex Platinium. This was about 6 months ago.

I only see a page offering 150,000 points now. And since I already hold one of their cards it's pointless for me. Those points would have really made it pay for itself.

Not showing up via samsung, iphone or desktop :( Haven't tried clearing cookies/cache but the iphone is new.

Also no go incognito + vpn.

Yeah very much expired I think, though referrals currently boosted to 225,000 - any link.

Really?

Just checked my referral link and still showing 150k.

This is referring them from Centurion not a platinum though.

Only getting 225k points here as well.

Interesting that someone in this forum who owned the Qantas Amex received bonus points for Amex platinum.

I have previously churned different Amex cards and still receive bonus points … the caveat being that each card utilises different award system for e.g. qantas vs membership rewards vs ascent vs ascent premium. (as long as you find some excuse to ask Amex to keep those rewards acount seperate, and only amalgamate once all the bonuses have hit the accounts)

Has anyone else received the amex platinum bonus whilst holding an amex ultimate qf card recently?

why is my referral link so cough? only 150k. Is it completely random whether your link is 150k or 225k?

As discussed above, its random. Try clearing your cache and/or opening in incognito or private tab. It should be fairly easy to land on the 225k bonus. I think 325k is long gone.

Definitely interested to hear another example of Qantas Amex
Likewise. I’m about to cancel QF Ultimate card. If I could be confident of the 225,000 sign on bonus then this would be a good replacement with the $1450 annual fee.
