For anyone still considering applying late in the game approvals are still happening in a decent timeframe for some.

My wife applied for the basic card Monday 11th (8pm), referred, approved Thurs 14th (7pm).

Basic card appears the go if you want your points within the month.

Is your wife a current or former ANZ customer?
I just applied for the basic and got this message:

Your application has been referred

Thank you for applying for an ANZ Frequent Flyer. Unfortunately, we are unable to give you a final answer to your credit card application at this time, as further processing is required.

Your application reference number is:
Not sure if I should apply for the Platinum anyway...

Another card, another 25,000 instead of 50,000. Incompetent is too complementary for ANZ.

No spend minimum for the rewards cards as the 50K ANZ Rewards Points converts into ~22000 velocity points for example, no much lower bonus than the Qantas cards.

I just received my Frequent Flyer cards and my welcome letter...

Now, to apply I used the link for the "Get a $0 Total Annual Fee for the first year, plus 50,000 bonus Qantas Points" promo however the welcome letter does not mention anything about the 50,000 bonus points and states yearly fees are $40 + $55 (no mention of these being waved for the first year...)

Is this normal or should I call to make sure that's the case?

OK so far approved for Black and Platinum - anybody got the trifecta as yet?

DENIED. Was told that I had successfully applied for too many ANZ cards in a short amount of time (Black and Platinum) and that's why they rejected my application for a third card (the basic card). Or maybe they're onto us churners (and annual fee reversers!) :)

I have the trifecta, but only because I already had the Plat card and applied for the Black and the normal one through this offer....

Well that's just not cricket is it?

I do like ANZ, hope they repeat this offer sometime soon... Gonna try and open a 0% balance transfer for 16 months card before the end of October as well once i close one of these...

I applied for and was approved for all 3 - Plat/Basic/Black in that order.

Plat points have been awarded so it's back in the draw.

Did you wait any days between applying?

Yep, waited about 2 weeks between each application. Wasn't sure I'd be approved for the Black as I had also picked up some NAB cards in between my first and second ANZ application.

I was instantly approved for all 3 and received the welcome packs (incl cards and pins) within 4 days of applying. Unlike some others here, I really can't find any faults in ANZ... I can't say the same for Macquarie.

As above, I too have the trifecta Black - Base - Platinum in that order. Both the base and platinum were referred but approved 24hrs later with no further information needed from me. Waited about 2 weeks between applications. No bonus points yet but not expecting these before Nov as per the 'up to 4 months' in the T&C. I'll be laughing if I do rack up the 150K bonus points but will also be happy with 50K for nothing really. Can anyone yet confirm multiple sets of bonus points received?

Yeah when I applied on line for my 2nd card of this offer, the basic one, it said it was referred, so I was waiting for some call or email but the cards just turned up in the mailbox several days later...

Will be applying (on behalf of ;) ) tonight for basic card, and then the black card (before the cut off date).
