ANZ Platinum, 50k bonus QFF points after $1500 spend, no annual fee first year

I have to make a payment next week which is above my credit limit. Would I be able to deposit the amount into the card so it is in surplus, and make the payment following this? Would FF points be credited?

I'm no afficianado but have done that before with my HSBC Plat when paying ATO and it all worked fine

I used AmericanExpress Black for gift card purchase and got 2280 for $1520 spend but NO 50K points bonus?
Only shows in Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
Do I need to call?
How long after paying the bill did the bonus points show up to those 3 pages back that got their BONUS points?

T&C say 50K may take upto 4 months to post. So no point calling to complain about them not posting yet.

Some have obviously gotten their points early.....but that is their luck, and not an ANZ obligation.

My strata body recently changed to Macquarie DEFT as well, huge pain in the backside. In my experience there's a hefty surcharge, even for Visa/MC. Your strata body probably has an option whether to absorb the fees or not though.

Was only verbal when providing my id documents in the branch. Girl simply said it was on until October. I can't confirm anything beyond what she said.

I Got Call from ANZ and they told there is problem in system and thats why i got transferred 25000 points.

on next statement cycle I should received 25000 more points.

As above terrible service in bank...stupid ticket system does not work!
Gave me number to call that is lost and found card number....
OMG the ANZ service is nearing Citi Bank standard...first India then automated only accepting Visa not American Express number, then reception, then customer service who do not have access to Black card holder info .....up to 15 minute call to find out where my 50K bonus points are?
Currently waiting to speak to person in card solutions.
Useless told to wait 4 months asnd nothing can be done to speed up 50K points bonus

T&Cs state bonus points may take up to 4 months to process...My understanding is that the once you've hit your spend, your application is placed in a queue, and will be processed in batches.

Out of interest, why do you believe that it is unreasonable for the ANZ to wait 4 months before awarding the 50K when it is very clear in the T&C that that was the period?

Personally I am just very happy that they have such a great offer in the first place. With only having to spend $1500 to gain the points it is a very low bar. If the points come earlier then great. But why all the angst?

As per previous posts...people are getting their bonus points and "1 in all in" as I was one of the first to uptake the offer!
Also interested to see if there was a problem with the system in not getting them as some guy above only got 25K in points and was told would get another 25K in a months time.
If I can have them now...thinking it would be a simple phone call but after sales service has been terrible in both BANK and over the phone......

Yes I am really bemused by people who expect this to happen faster than the T&C's. No wonder the call centre is so busy if people are ringing with non-genuine complaints.

ATO doesn't accept credit card via Bpay. I just paid direct on my card.

I just had my first statement on Saturday (10/8), Originally applied on 7/7, wasn't approved until 21/7 and didn't get the cards until 23/7. The statement is from 10/7-10/8

Go figure that one out.

My statement date is the same as yours. Applied on 17/7, approved 21/7 & cards arrived on 1/8 due to delays in them actually being sent. Maybe it goes on approval date?

I made sure that I registered for e-statements and I had an email the morning that my statement had generated.

Have you tried where it says "Current Incomplete Statement Period" using the drop down to view other Statements? I can see mine & it gives a due date in the first week of September towards the bottom left of the page, so over 3 weeks from statement date

Had the ANZ FF Black about a month now. Already spent >$1500 and waiting for the bonus points. 2 days ago I applied for the basic FF card. Online application was referred. Got an email requesting for further information which I emailed in. Today received a call saying that as I already have the FF Black I will need to reduce the credit limit from $19000 to $15000 then the basic card will get approved for $4000 limit (ie total of $19000 still). I went for of course. Was told will get the card in 2 business day.

Now, thinking of it, it seems unlikely I will get the Platinum since that's a minimum $6000 credit limit. Unless ANZ is willing to increase my total limit to $22000 (Black $15000, Platinum $6000 and Basic $1000).
