This is a very generous offer. No annual fee for the first year makes it a fantastic deal. It's worth the wait to get the points.

I try to hold more than enough points. I'm in no rush for the points to post to my account so long as they do.

Quick question - I just hit my 3 month date and still no bonus points despite having been way over the required spend for a while. Normal 'spend' points are showing up regularly in QFF for all 3 months.

Do the bonus points sweep at the same time as the normal monthly spend?

Yes they do. Just secure mail them and give them a kick. ANZ are pretty hopeless IMHO.

Weirdly it just appeared, in a separate transfer to another for this month. And not just the 75K bonus, approx 77K points.

Nah, I haven't purchased anything from QF in years - I'm guessing I hit some bonus partner without realising (I won't complain about it regardless!).

Stupid me however failed to record the date I cancelled the last one - I know it was second half of 2016 but can't remember when. If I call up ANZ can they tell me the date I closed an account, or will it attract undue attention?

I don't think so, because I did exactly that on my most recent ANZ Black FF card and had no issues.

My card just arrived...along with an encyclopaedia of terms and conditions. Any larger 'welcome pack' would have required a parcel delivery service.

It is pretty beefy. I think only the Amex Platinum Charge card (and by extension the Amex Centurion) pack competes on size and weight.

It's always a good idea to keep a photo/scan of the letter about the cancellation just in case you ever need it.

This time I was well over the 12 months as I decided to stop credit card churning for quite a while.

In the course of cancelling this card I was offered a bonus of 2 points p/$ for 3 months on the Visa. Since I don't have any other offers I'm targeting for churn in the near future plus this will give me a 0.75 point p/$ premium vs my westpac black card I'm going to take advantage. Should be worth close to 15k in the period to me but YMMV.

So, I got the ANZ Go Money app, and the one thing which really annoys me is that it doesn't show pending transactions. e.g. you need to wait days and days to see things arrive in internet banking / appear on the app.

I do like the earn rate on this card, however the wait period to apply for another ANZ card means I may cancel soon, so that period kicks off again.

My year expires Feb 9th so this offer takes me close to a full year with this card. Its a sin, I know.

Has anyone has trouble signing up after exactly a year? I just called and was told the close date was 6/10/16, I had to close my Westpac Altitude Black today to avoid the annual fee so I am wanting to sign up asap. Would waiting until the 7th of October be pushing it too much?

I did exactly this with mine. Year expired on Feb 9th this year, I phoned to confirm eligibility and then reapplied same day.

Do they really hold you to that? I only cancelled my ANZ in December 2016... so it hasn't been a year yet so would that mean I am not eligable until literally 12 months from the cancellation date?
