Hm, bit of a worry some of these previous posts.

I applied and spent in January. Is it two months I should expect to see the points come through?

I did the same and am still waiting - mind you it's just over 1 month for me, so a while longer to wait. Some people were super lucky to get their points so quickly!

Same here. I am just going to wait the 60 days. There is really not much point ringing sooner as the call centre will just tell you to wait 60 days, I suspect if we push the point before that time, they will just make something up to get you off the phone because they really wouldnt know the vague intracices off the offers in the back end. If ANZ have created their systems correctly the points will issue automatically.

If we dont get it by 60 days, then make a fuss.

Agreed !

I'm actually waiting on 60k Qantas points for HSBC, 60k VFF points from ANZ and 40kVFF points from NAB...

I'll see what's around for March and April applications once they start coming through..

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

The earn rate is about to get smashed on this card! No more AMEX and the Visa rate cut to 0.5 rewards points per $ after $2000 spend, that is 0.25 points per $, crazy.

yup, it's only good for the bonus (& lounge passes which arrived today very promptly) and flight. It'll be cancelled once I'm done with those things!

NAB 40,000 is next on my list, just need to hit the minimum spend on my QFF ANZ first :-)

How many credit cards earn points but dont have any overseas transaction fees?
IMO, thats the products strongest feature and its a killer product for effectively a Zero annual fee.

I would still have taken up the product without the signup bonus

Fair call. I always think that no o/s fee is a gimmick, as you lose it on the transaction fee. But, I have no evidence!

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

Still haven't received my points yet and I got the card early December and met the spend Xmas.

Oh and I've had to call ANZ like 4 times to leave my FF number... they're completely useless.

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

Gotta get that free flight booked ASAP. When does that earn rate go down, from what date?

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

I have not heard from ANZ for this card on a deval. Has anyone heard from them?

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

I am waiting out the 12 month card closure from an ANZ QF Black - does anyone know or have experience as to if ANZ consider this a different product when it comes to bonus points?

See post #78 which suggests that you would be ok now.

Thanks LTO - this being the case I will pull my finger out and read the thread

It has not been on my radar but looks like it should have been

Came nice and quick. Got the card on Friday, all activated and using over the weekend. Interestingly when calling the guy on the phone said they have nowhere to put your velocity number. So I don't know how the 60,000 bonus points get credited directly with Velocity?

I followed the directions up thread on setting up an auto redemption. On the first page there is info on what ANZ department to call and a number

I had an ANZ Black - cancelled it 25th July 16.

I applied for the Travel Adventure card on the 27th Jan 17, approval letter was dated 31st Jan, received cards 3rd Feb, made a single qualifying spend on 6th Feb (only spend on card), end of billing cycle and annual fee charged on 19th Feb, 60k posted in my Velocity account over the weekend

I will be cancelling asap - I received the lounge passes, but using the flights and working out what to do with the small point balance is holding this process up

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

Points came through over the weekend for myself and partner.

I also need to use the flights and get the lounge passes. Honestly though if they refunded the annual fee without me claiming the flights I would just do that.

What you say is true, but this card could still work for people. First of all, it's effectively free as the virgin flight means the card pays for itself. Plus the 2 lounge passes if people don't have virgin status.

It is completely free from international transaction fees. I have used it a few times and the exchange rate is excellent as well. When you see a price in a foreign currency online, do a quick conversion to aud on google with todays exchange rate, and that is pretty much exactly what you will pay.

For me, I don't spend more than $2000 per month on foreign products online, especially for merchants who don't accept AMEX, so 0.75 VFF points on visa is pretty darn good for 0$ fees.
Also, when I travel overseas, I usually stagger my purchases, so the flights to and from my destination are the first I book 6+ months out, then next month maybe some internal flights, then next month perhaps some accommodation. I never spend more than the $2000/month. So it works for me.

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

Do they still do the 60,000 bonus points on this card? The link is still active but if I search for it I get an offer without...

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

Has anyone had any experiences redeeming the comp flights during peak periods. For example I'd like to book MEL-DRW or CNS over a public holiday long weekend. Also my partner and I both got this card, has anyone had any experiences booking two seats ? Thanks in advance.

I've tried twice now to redeem to no avail.
Admittedly one attempt was for this Easter and another in the July school holidays (almost 6 months in advance!), so probably not the best times. The flights have to be available as rewards flights from Virgin in the first place, so the lovely lady on the phone has told me

Wow was this published anywhere? About the reward seats? I thought they came out of discount economy inventory. Didn't realise the need for award seats to be available.

To be fair there is loads of award inventory... outside of peak times...

We need to get this checked as I will certainly not be pleased if that is the case.

I called to book my flight this morning and failed...

The flight has to be in my name, clearly the T&C's to refer to other T&C's where it says this - I wanted to book for Miss Steady.

The second issue was availability - I had looked for (X) award flight availability before calling, after reading the above posts - but they book out of the (T) bucket.

I said I would go away and search for (T) availability then call back, and was told I couldn't do this, I wouldn't be able to see it - he was obviously not aware of AFF, Expertflyer etc ;)

Back to the drawing board - I had never planned to fly the VA whY fare myself :o

Ahhhh (T), I had some failed attempts too.

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

I still have had no notice of a change in earn rate, or monthly limit. I emailed them and got the reply below. Has anyone actually been told officially of a change? Ufens at post 52 says 05 August.

I have some longer stays o/s and I don't want to be relying on this and have it change.
