I've read the Ts & Cs but this is still not crystal clear to me...

Does this apply to new bookings only?

I would love to take advantage of this offer but all my travel is booked for the offer period.

The above is a little ambiguous since the order in which you must both "register" and "book" is not specified, and the only criteria is that you do it before Feb 29.

"Register then book" would be less ambiguous if it applied to new bookings only, but at the moment (to me) it's somewhat open to interpretation.

This is in the fine print in one of the emails I've recevied:

Aquire Members must (a) register their ABN for the promotion by clicking the 'Login to register now' button, (b) book an Eligible Domestic or International Flight between 12.01am (AEST) 27 January 2016 and 11.59pm (AEST) 29 February 2016, (c) quote registered Aquire ABN and Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number at the time of booking, and (d) travel between 12.01am (AEST) 27 January 2016 and 11.59pm (AEST) 30 April 2016.

I think the "and" you are referring to is more in relation to it doesn't matter which sequence you perform the steps, as long as both steps occur during the promotion period 27-Jan-2016 to 29-Feb-2016.

Interesting that they list Brisbane time (AEST) and not Sydney time (AEDT) as the default times. I wonder if someone thinks that AEST stands for "Summer" time instead of "Standard" time. Time zones in Australia - Tourism Australia

Without wanting to appear rude, did you read any of this thread?
This has been mentioned a number of times, last by Mark3000 just a page or two back.

Does a flight that leaves Singapore on the evening of April 30, but lands in Australia on Sunday May 1st qualify?
I'm considering booking a flight to get the 50% bonus and the fine print says
"(d) travel between 12.01am (AEST) 27 January 2016 and 11.59pm (AEST) 30 April 2016."
Has anyone come across this problem? Many thanks

Have a look on the Aquire page that opens the offer, toward the bottom under Important Information , point 4.

"4 Aquire Members must (a) register their ABN for the promotion by clicking the 'Register now' button, (b) book an Eligible Domestic or International Flight between 12.01am (AEST) 27 January 2016 and 11.59pm (AEST) 29 February 2016, (c) quote registered Aquire ABN and Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number at the time of booking, and (d) travel between 12.01am (AEST) 27 January 2016 and 11.59pm (AEST) 30 April 2016."

You need to be an Aquire member when you make a booking from 27 January. When you make the booking you must already be registered for the offer, AND you must quote the ABN at the time of booking.

Hey Guys,

Just a quick question,

Whilst i have posted before about making gold,

I have just realised my boss booked a flight for me for work on the 4th of Feb,

Now my boss didn't originally include the ABN on it at the time of booking, but she came back later in the day to add it?

Do you think i will be eligible for the bonus SC?

Thanks
Martin

My experience is you will get the Aquire points, as you are eligible for them you will be for the bonus also - so I believe yes

And the business registered for the deal. I dont always do the bookings so often add them later.

Oops - yes, the business had to have registered for the promotion - I should not have assumed

The issue that i am unsure about is they have purchased the tickets lets say @2pm, added the abn & clicked register @5pm

do you think it would be included?

Pretty much an unknown I think. Most would register first. Maybe you might lucky.

I called Qantas about flight timings and she didn't know and went to check.
My flight leaves Asia on the evening of April 30 th and lands in Mel on May 1. She said this will attract the bonus 50% as the important time is departure time.

Good news also, that my flight from MEL-BNE on May 1 is linked and will also attract 50% bonus.

It's always based on the departure time, not the arrival. Don't be surprised if the MEL-BNE does not credit. The same PNR does not typically allow for these date based promos. As it departs 1MAY, i'd say it most likely won't in reality.

I should've clarified further that earning is based on scheduled date/time of departure. I came to AFF after having a big discussion with Qantas about a SIN-FRA flight that was delayed. Instead of departing on the last day of my year, as scheduled, it departed the following day. I thought SC should be given based on departure date, Qantas disagreed.

I doubt the second flight will get the bonus, each flight earns individiually. For example in the case of the SIN-FRA flight, my return flights on the same PNR were flown in the new member year and they were credited to the new member year not the old year with the earlier flights.

Thanks drewbles and Medhead, that's helpful to know. I'm going to be cutting it really close just scraping over the line to platinum so it sounds like I shouldn't count on the bonus from that flight and should make sure I have some extra planned just in case

Sorry for bumping this thread, I had a look and I did not see updates of late.

I'm aware that the T&Cs state SC credited up to 8 weeks. But I feel QANTAS is usually pretty quick in crediting points and SC where credit is due.

Has anyone had the SC credited to their accounts yet? If so how long did it take?

Cheers
Ambo

Not yet. It's been about 4 weeks since first flight eligible for bonus SC. I am pretty sure they won't automatically credit and it will be an arduous task of manually getting them to post them. None of these bonus SC schemes seem to run smoothly.

Still waiting for a colleague's bonus to post. Which will leave her 5 SC short of first-time Gold....

I'm also about 4 weeks post first bonus qualifying flight and no bonus SC's as yet....

Bonus credits offered via Qantas direct, post in a few days. But this is Aquire - so a third party involved. Could get antsy.

I think the crediting will be variable. The double Aquire points back in decemeber resulted in 1 flight getting double points after 1 week and 5 others getting the double at 8 weeks post flight.
Just checked with an employee today about the triple QFF points for Aquire travellers offer in January. Today is about the deadline for crediting. They said they got the points ages ago.
