Looks like this one's gunna be a draw ...

Nah, Bru. Our bowlers are chafing at the bit to get to the pitch!

btw: Clarke and Dawe with the serious error of judgement that the ABC had committed was hilarious.

Well done to Chris Rogers for pushing on to his ton. Steve Smith just keeps powering on.

Our fast bowlers want to bowl on a flat track and get England out twice in 3 days? Sorry but the only thing that's going to help is the pressure created by batting first.

Have a little faith, JohnK! ;)

Hahaha. I was a fanatic follower during our leanest time in the past 40 years. I think Allan Border still has the record for the most number of test players to have played in his team. I still remember staying up all night listening to radio when he scored 100no and 98no against the might of the West Indies. Faced 6 balls in a maiden over and couldn't quite get the second ton.

Faith eventualy came through. Be good to lose the arrogance though. There's no place for it in sport. Just look at Tiger Woods.

Your youngster, you.:)

i remember coming back for SYD conference and standing at BNE airport bus stop (maybe taxi stop - but in the open air outside the old airport) next to AB and discussing the awesome WI attack many years ago.

Listening to the America's cup ( 1st challenge) at 2 am on ABC with a crystal set gets you brownie points.

Who's this woody tiger fellow?

btw: St Hallett do a good Faith. A favourite!

Well England have had slightly the better start tonight - 2 wickets (Rogers and Clarke). But Voges has been spanking them to the boundary since arriving at the crease:

Make that 3 wickets - 2nd over after lunch and Voges tickles one from Broad through to the keeper. Mitchelll Marsh dispatches his first ball for 4. 4/432

Carnage in the England first innings. Some were suggesting they might need to look for a Day 3 refund

They were 4/30 but have recovered to 4/85 with Cook and Stokes in.
Pitch did look a bit different last night and it may be that the innings by Smith and Rogers are actually a lot better than anyone thought.

Channel 9 could have fitted a couple more ad breaks in in the 30 mins before plays starts. (Day 3)

Yes I was disappointed as well. The adds had more value than the juggling...

But not happy that just because we are now winning they have decided to swap from GEM to 9, thus stuffing up my preset recorded schedule for this test. Ahh. Normally I watch the list tea session on the next day. Now I gave the abuse my thumbs and change the recording session!

After going to bed when England were 6 wickets down (just after Stokes played on), I woke this morning to another excellent day's play:

So a bit of one day batting, give them 500+ to chase and try to rip through their batsmen again. Australia on top

Highest 4th innings total to win at Lords is 344 so already well past that. However records are made to be broken and if the pitch is playing well then Clarke will want 450 plus. There is rain forecast so they will want as many sessions as they can get to bowl England out. It will be nice to go to the next Test at 1-1. Here's hoping.

Marsh takes the dangermen, Australia large and in charge. Barring rain, I think Lyon and the quicks can bag another 10. The draw is looking pretty unlikely now!
