Australia accumulating well at 2/219 with Smith and Warner out chasing quick runs playing big shots. Chris Rogers' dizzy spell the only real cause for concern in the first session. Apart from an opportunity for the middle order to play themselves in, there's not much to see here.

6 more runs and Rogers has 9 50s from last 10 innings
And tragedy strikes!

It was much better to watch Australia getting smashed in the First Test. The arrogance is back and it is embarassing.

1-1 in four days. That's set up the series quite nicely. Lyon didn't have to bowl them out, and there was no day 5. Come on England, make a game of it in Edgebaston!

And that, my friends, is what is known as a munting.

Complete turnaround of form from First Test or was it just a case of low confidence for Aussies?

England looks gone. That performance was woeful. The demons are still there.

Midway during the innings the posted a chart of top order. Against Windies, NZ and Aus have been 3-5 down for about 50 apart from one game against Windies

Warner out lbw for 2.
No. No. No. Don't post within 30 mins of a result. We watch it on delay so we can FF to avoid the bloody adds every 3 mins. Haven't got to that yet!

i read AFF in the meantime. I could find that out from newspaper feeds which I avoid in real time.

Rewind.....and Australia wins the toss and elects to bat ;)
