At least with the last two the off-field umpire got it right and didn't try to over umpire.

I am glad Warner is back in test team and at the top of the order where he clearly belongs.

Good to see Rogers get his first century. I thought Watson was going to finally get one as well.

Good fight back from both of them after the top order failed again.

Weather looks like playing some part in result again.

Both Haddin and Rogers gone to Swann before making up the deficit.

Haddin reviewed but he was still out and Rogers given not out and England reviewed and decision reversed.

A lead of 100 is looking good now if they can get there.

Australia all out for 270. A lead of 32. A little disappointing after being in good position this morning.

Can the bowlers do the job again? Don't want too many to chase in the 4th innings.

Hell of a contest now JohnK !! Lets see what the Aussies have got

Been a bit quiet posting here tonight but I have been watching the game.

Harris hit a nice 28 and that was the difference to getting ahead.

3/86 now, as Bell and Pietersen start to get their eye in. So effectively 3/35.

Agree, 250 would be enough to chase.

Off to bed - will check cricinfo tomorrow morning

Good test so far. i particulary Liked the SMH article this morn that began

"An hour after tea on Saturday, a section of the Chester-le-Street crowd began singing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. 'Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?' Is it Shane Watson scoring a Test century?"
A very English phenomonen. Wouldn't happen in Oz.

Okay, not as good as I had hoped, seems Pietersen (44) & Bell (101 no) both scored runs.

However England are only 202 ahead with 5 wickets in hand - see they sent jn the night watchman Bresnan. We need to mop them up quickly and bat well ourselves to take the Test.

Did Bird or Watson break down? See that one bowled 3 balls in an over and it was finished by the other.

Fantastic - so we are both a bowler down to get them out and a batsman to chase the required runs.

Can you get my sarcasm dripping off the first word ... :roll eyes:

Watson isn't the worst batsman to lose. I can't see him ever playing a long innings to save/win a test.

I was thinking similarly, hardly a batsman :p

Looking good, so now I wonder where the line in the sand will be drawn, and if the weather has anything to say about things...

Finally saw the reason for Watson's bowling demise.

So will he come out to "stand and deliver" in our inning (IIRC, runners aren't allowed anymore); without hopefully needing to run very much. Would hate to be batting with him, knowing one can't take any quick singles.
