Another wicket down. Clarke gone and 4/135

The more I follow Australian cricket the more depressed I become.

Spoke way too soon. Khawaga gone as well and both wickets to part time spinner Root. 5/135

Shaun of the Dead and pleasantly surprised by the score.

I was getting a bit sick of the score to be honest so just turned it off and got in bed. Thought I'd check the score before rolling over and I've missed the Clarke wicket. Still, you're doing better than the first innings. I just wonder if it'll be over when I get up or a thriller tomorrow? :D

And of course no sooner than I've typed this but Khawaja is out too!

Smith is also gone. Now 6/136.

Will be lucky to last the day with another 32 overs remaining.

If bad luck comes in threes you may be spared.
What is happening to me is bad luck.

What is happening to Australia in cricket has nothing to do with luck.

I thought they were really competitive in first test and now this rubbish. If they are going to rebuild then just pick some 18 year olds playing park cricket and take it from there.

No clean image on hotspot but Agar is given out on a noise that could have come from anywhere... DRS is ****e

At least an Aussie is co-leader in the Open Championship. With an Englishman....

Some really poor decisions again in this test and poor use of reviews.

Agar given out caught when the evidence was inconclusive and no hot spot and then Haddin given out lbw but hawkeye shows ball missing but no further reviews for Australia.

Hanging on for the thunderstorms now....

Disappointing does not quite explain it.

Good batting by lower order again.

I'm sure glad we held onto all those veterans a few years ago, squeezing the last innings out of them, ensured we set ourselves up for the future generations.

I wonder what raft of changes we'll see in this series, let alone before the return series in Aus...because obviously change is what the team needs right now too..:rolleyes:

Did a quick reccie out to the old Trafford cricket ground today.

Hopefully the Aussies have a good time there... Just like I did!

Change is probably not what we need but is Phillip Hughes really a test cricketer?

Are his last 3 scores 0, 1 and 1? And if Agar had rightfully been given out on 9 Hughes would not have scored 81 not out in First test either.

Now they are thinking of bringing Warner back into the team. Seriously?

Someone mentioned earlier that Australia had an abundance of talent when they were on top and a lot of cricketers were wasted. What they would do to have these available now.

As I said earlier just grab 5 18 year old batsmen playing park/school cricket and give them a chance. At they are going to cherrish their time in the limelight and may give their best for Australia.

Clearly the current lot do not care....

But the way Australian cricket has been lately, and the rotation policy certainly doesn't help, they'll be given a chance, and if they don't deliver within two games, off with their heads..Test teams also gain a lot from some stability. Perhaps we're finnaly seeing the knock-on effects of T20 filtering into the test arena? Its bound to happen sometime. Test players should avoid T20, but of course the bling is too lucrative.

Interesting that you say that, I had that exact conversation with someone else today.
