ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I'm a bit out of touch with the latest Credit Card happenings, just been happy with my Westpac Krisflyer Platinum.
But with Amex dropping to 1.25 KF miles per $ soon and the Visa at a poor 0.5 KF miles per $ is it time to change cards?
The obvious reason to stay put would be that it's one of the few remaining full points ATO cards, but how long will that last?

Is there a better Krisflyer miles earning card that is still accepted for ATO payments?

(My spend is about 1/3 Visa 2/3 Amex + Put enough through the card that yearly fee not a major issue)

Ok thanks cove for that advice. Will stick w' WOW Money for next 12 months w' my free year (< $2500) per month.

Just ensure there would be occasional Indian takeaways as well to sweeten (curry) the deal !

The proverbial cards are disappearing at the same rate as David Copperfield's reality tricks so we need to nurse each remaining ones with lots of love.

Won't be totally surprised if ..... there is nothing left in 12 months' time (sincerely wishing I'd be wrong).

They're quick learners too.

The problem with the new cost of the WOW card earning at a cost of 0.84% isn't that cost rather it is the low earn of QF points at half a point a dollar. I have been using the WOW card to produce the 72,000 points for business class flights out of Perth to the east coast. That will be half as good in a few weeks time.
On non ATO payments I applied for a Qantas Credit Union card as I want a point a dollar on a Visa or MasterCard for Qantas travel domestically.

Certainly the WOW is not going to be much good for those with ATO payments of more than $2500 per month.

At that level the cost per point is $0.0042 ... the more you spend, the cost increases, approaching the $0.0084. Factor in Annual fees and the cost could be more.

Since i have had fee waivers every year and my monthlyATO spend is under that $2.5k I'll continue to use it for QFF points.

As an aside I value velocity points at least double that of QFF points.

More than an aside to me! Im similar in that I don't value QFF at much and traditionally have preferred SQ cards as I value SQ at at least 1.5 QF. However SQ becoming increasingly hard, maybe I should be thinking laterally and looking at VA.

Can I ask your reason?
An example may help - Over the last three weeks I have redeemed two business class one way awards between MEL and LAX for Christmas/New Year.

MEL-LAX using QF cost 96K QFF points and $513 in +++.

LAX-xBNE-xSYD-MEL with VA cost 94K Velocity points and $68 in +++.

Moreover, there has generally been far better Premium cabin availability on VA than that for Qantas.

OK, it does cost $55 to depart Australia ...

Well Serfty we endured XFA,XFB and the Embraer 190 I think it was (the one where the flight attendant read a book).
I would battle to get Mrscove onboard again but I am a devil for punishment so I go with them domestically when it suits me.
I still have 2 commas in the Velocity account and I am holding on tightly to my RED status.
The ATO thread has given our taxpaying citizens choices so thank you js once again.
Being in Perth we generally go on SQ but this month we are doing a QF run to LAX.
