ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

You could buy some very nice extraction forceps or the very latest root canal equipment lol

They're called Dentsply and supply dental equipment so it's a bit of a niche market I'm afraid

Hey Pukka

Is your co branded AMEX still getting 1.5 points/dollar on everything?
Cheers Danger UXB (another Dentsply Man!)

No I reached the limit ages ago before the enhancements in October so it's down to 1 until it rolls over, so I'll have to see what happens then if I decide to use it more.

I actually only use that Amex for Dentsply & put everything else on the Citi sig select, Amex has become way to complicated & it irritates me.

ATO or other bill with Xs card

Either at the counter or Self Service ATM machine....
Does it allow you to type in the AMOUNT you wish to pay?

So $400 bill does it allow you, to enter $1600 and then you swipe two $995 XS cards?

How high in $$$ can you pay your PAYG Bill in advance...ie $1K or $10K
Will they refund it or send a cheque?

Plant, can say that i have NOT overpaid, but have paid when i didn't need to, but they had sent me an extra notice saying that i needed too. within 2 months i received a cheque, after i had paid with a CC. I knew that i had paid them initially but the systen just had not caught up, and knew it would come out in the wash in the end, which it did. but yes paid via CC and received chequr refund

You can always ask them to refund if you have a credit balance, it's not that unusual that through some circumstance people do this.

Handed back my tax agents licence and my auditor status so it was not on my account!
We are in the SQ Changi lounge thinking Saver J seats are really worth it.
Will be paying a land tax bill for Victoria and the fee is a meagre 0.33%.

from the ATO website:

If there is a credit on your account, our new system automatically refunds it to you after a period of time, unless it is applied to a tax debt, or a Child Support Agency or Centrelink debt recorded on your account with us. Our new system, like our previous system, automatically applies offsetting rules set by legislation.

The VIC SRO just passing through the Visa/MC government merchant rate with no mark-up is gold, isn't it? No land tax here, but I almost look forward to the monthly PRT bill.

East coast payroll tax is one of my favourites and I wish others would catch on.
My biggest favourite remains all the ATO bills seeing I get more than 2 dozen (I am in America where they found 10 or 100 of anything was not a goer.

WS(Above)
We al paid our Health fund tax in advance to miss the 30% increase.......what about this latest 5% increase...will we get another bill to make up the difference?

Only if you change your cover.......if you do that - the increase will be far more than 5%.

One of my partners has just joined us in Marina Del Rey with his wife. I checked their thoughts on whether they thought Kris Flyer points from ATO payments were any good. They flew up to Los Angeles in the all J A345 and thought being on a half full 100 seat all business class direct flight from SIN to LAX was the very best. They were amazed at the SQ service.
So here we are keeping Australia running for a couple of seconds and enjoying getting a lovely sleeper seat on a 15 hour flight.
I think they may start getting very interested in flying up the pointy end!

yet more people living the dream... as for myself its PAYG and GST time again, I'm looking forward to the points which if my calculations are correct will be more than enough for some J fun on my way to SYD in a months time...

And yes, the country keeps running for a few seconds longer in the process he he

Edit: Cove, you need to educate me in the KF/SQ game me thinks, since QF81/QF82 dead, its all SQ from here on, and QFF points pretty much useless for that route now
