A 10-15% drop in surcharge still means they are charging way too much given the drop in fuel prices.Surcharges have just dropped significantly on QF.

My Westpac Krisflyer CC statement today had bad news (as also posted against that card). May need to revise my strategy, at 1.25 points not sure this worth the 1.48% fee.
EFFECTIVE 1 APRIL 2015, THE EARN RATE ON THE
SINGAPORE AIRLINES WESTPAC PLATINUM AMERICAN
EXPRESS CARD IS CHANGING AND YOU WILL EARN 1.25
KRISFYLER MILES PER AUD$1 SPENT ON ELIGIBLE
PURCHASES USING THAT CARD. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES
TO THE EARN RATE ON YOUR SINGAPORE AIRLINES WESTPAC
PLATINUM VISA CARD.
I also use the SINGAPORE AIRLINES WESTPAC PLATINUM AMERICAN
EXPRESS CARD
The Statement that I received that day had no such notation. Does that mean that some (incl me) missed the enhancement?
This is true, however I believe it can be higher than those percentages.
But it's definitely lower on many routes - as in a 0% 'drop'.
Earn rate? Amex? Visa?however this thread is about the suitability of credit cards for ATO payments and I am happy to confirm that my (small tester) payment on Monday afternoon did accrue points
Earn rate? Amex? Visa?
Sorry: AMEX, earn rate 3 ANZ points per $. But I am quite certain that the redemption rate (to VA and SQ at least) is not as good as Westpac Altitude so it is not a 1.5 points per $ scenario. I admit I haven't looked into these details yet but I could not pass on the opportunity to earn points as long as it lasts...
ANZ Black Rewards transfer at 2.25 - 1 VA makes the AMEX = 1.33VA Per $ if my maths is ok
It is as well.Sorry don't have the card but isn't SQ 3Points :1 Kris making it overall $1:kris1. Which with the ATO surcharge makes it very expensive!!
I think you mean $1:1.33VA.2.25pts:1VA --> $1.33:1VA
possiblyI think you mean $1:1.33VA.
Anyone had recent success w' the free red AMEX Velocity Escape Card?
Might need to share those titanium bladed scissors with others based on NAB report today regarding no points earn. I don't have any NAB cards so I have no first hand experience.
