Aussies will need to bowl them out quick today - any chase over 200 going to be problematic.

80 overs down and Australia take the new ball immediately.

2 balls later from Starc, Rahane hits a 4 for his 50.

He was lucky to be there for the 2nd ball. I reckon India are home for all money now.

Can't see the fat lady warbling yet. Although a lead of 145 with 6 wickets left is a concern. Still, India has folded before :D

fingers crossed:

not given out on this lbw shout and Australia have reviewed it. Full and straight, and I think umpire Llong has not given this out suspecting an inside edge. Replays show no inside edge. So down to the projection now. Pitches leg, swings to straighten a touch, and is going to hit the leg stump. Another decision reversed, and Australia have their breakthrough. Don't forget what an innings this has been from Rahane under pressure. He has brought India back into this contest

YES :D :D

84.3Starc to Rahane, OUT

AM Rahane lbw b Starc 52 (134b 4x4 0x6) SR: 38.80

Yippee yahoo :D

84.4Starc to Nair, OUT, bowled him. Starc is on a hat-trick. The big man is bringing Australia back. Nair out for a golden duck at his home ground.Starc is on fire. Loose shot first up. Starc is full, swinging it, bowling fast, and Nair looks to play a big drive. The ball swings and the inside edge cannons into the middle stump. Oh what a Test

KK Nair b Starc 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

India lead by 151 runs with 4 wickets remaining

Aaahhh, so close:

84.5
Starc to Saha, no run, swinging full bunger, and they appeal for the lbw again. Saha gets a nervous little inside edge to deny Australia this hat-trick. Oh I dare you, double-dare you, to take your eye off this action

another one. Hazlewood! 5 for 65! Wheeee. 8 for 246.

Update: Hazelwood 6! 9 for 258.

I find reading the ball by ball description off ESPN Cricinfo is the only way I can get any stuff done while the cricket is on. If I was watching the TV I wouldn't get anything else done and I'd have my kids screaming at me and not be able to enjoy watching the cricket.

Pity I had to go and picks up the kids from school - missed the last 3 wickets. Sharma just hit a 4 from Lyon and 9/268, leading by 181. Hazlewood back on - crazy that. Saha didn't run expecting a 4, instead got nothing? Great fielding Lyon

Damn, Ishant padded up to a ball from Hazlewood but on field umpire said not out. DRS showed out but umpires call remains not out. :(

SOK back on with 2 right handers. Let's get them out

Damn again - difficult dropped chance AND a missed runout in the same ball...aaaggh, you're doing my head in Australia...

yeah, first ball of next over and Sharma is finally out. 188 to win. I like the number :D

CricViz has Australia at 64℅ chance.
Median prediction 8/188 in the 46th

(Run-rate seems a bit high for me, no-one has been above 3 all game, although if we hold out first 10-15 overs pitch looks ok)

Will come down to the fielding. There will definitely be chances on this pitch

Kids are doing their homework and I'm watching cricket. 0/22 and spider-cam is jammed close to the players.
