Australia v India Test Series: General Discussion

Are we watching the same game :o - or are you meaning the Marsh dismissal ?

bugger - I'm running Foxtel 503 so now just seen Smiths' dismissal.

Kohli had a meltdown when Smith gestured with a flick of the head to the pavilion, when Handscomb seemed to suggest he do that. Great to see Nigel Llong started stepping in to say to Smith "you can't do that" then separately stopped Kohli who was hotfooting it into Smith to give him a mouthful. Nicely nipped it in the bud. Was definitely the wrong thing to do Steve but Kohli gave you the idea

Now Mitchell Marsh must have had a conniption, with his saving grace that the umpire gave him not out.

4/100. Starc to win the game for us.

I'm also watching 503.

Reminds me of when I once rewound to watch something again and then forgot to take it back to "real time"...

I was just thinking that with 87 to win, I should be doing something like standing on one leg...alas, I probably should have with MMarsh out for 13. 5/101....who's turning off now :o

hmmm, you knew about Smith before me and TMA knew about MMarsh before me as well - and yes I just checked that I hadn't done the same thing. Nope, real time live *phew*

Bugger, Wade out for a duck. 6/101...should I start drinking (my sorrows) now??

cmon Starc...I still have faith in you at least. Thankfully it's tea break now.

How unfortunate- 87 to win!

Ps excellent catch by the Indian keeper.

Certainly has been a bowlers pitch - with figures of 8/50 (Lyon), 6/63 (Jadeja) and 6/67 (Hazlewood) and now Ashwin with 3/35.

Interesting test match.

Now for some lusty hitting to win match!

Okay, with Starc bowled and it being 7/103 I'm reverting to drinking. Bottle of red is already open...what else is on TV??

(Reverse psychology going on here - or reality? I'm just not sure)

For one bowler each dig...or was it just one end

I agree. But that's what "ball tracker" came back with. With SMarsh's, it would have obviously said that it pitched outside the line, but that wouldn't have mattered, because, the rules.

It doesn't matter. The ball tracker was wrong! There was clear daylight between the wicket to wicket shaded strip when he was hit on the pad. It was way outside the line of offstump. Common sense and human intervention needs to remain!

Actually the ball tracker was right. It was whatever coding determines the umpires call that was wrong.

I'm going for dinner now at 9 f 110. Let me know by how much we lose...

Nice bottle of red after the white while watching earlier...

Ps: took a peek.. 112! Sheesh.

PPS: well played India.

I had to go and visit a family member in hospital, so had paused play but I knew it wasn't going to take me long when I returned.

So Ashwin bags another 6/, so one bowler in each innings but for India, it was their one innings that was more than a century (Pujara and Rahman) that was the difference between the teams.

One Test each. Onto the next one.
