Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

I hope these dodgy NSW removalists that spread the virus from Sydney and have been unco-operative with VIC and SA authorities have the book thrown at them…. Wow….
But weren't they legally allowed to travel?

But weren't they legally allowed to travel?

The prime issue that they do not seem have abided with the conditions of travel.

So far they have eaten in two dining facilities in Victoria, and it would seem have also used two shower facilities, both of which is not allowed.

You might recall the truck driver linked to the Butcher Club Cluster who drove to Kilmore (allowed) but who then dined in the cafe (not allowed) where he infected people. He also did not reveal all of the exposure sites at once including visiting Shepparton. In this case the Kalkallo site has been added at least a day later than it should have been. And more like days late on all sites as the information flow has been very slow as the removalists have not been that forthcoming about their movements.

Also didn’t use QR code for check in at Tailem Bend Petrol station/diner and withheld information from officials. Was only caught out by CCTV

Where do they shower and pick up food on interstate trips ?

Surely eating, showering and going to the toilet is not forbidden whilst interstate?
For SA they can do all of those but must wear a mask at all times and comply with QR check ins
They must also keep a hand written log of every premises visited with date, times and premises address, phone number etc.
They need to retain these records for 28 days

Also another site being investigated in SA.

Well we will soon see if today's leaks are factual. Yesterday they were accurate.

NSW Presser : 97 community cases. 24 infectious in the community.

Surely taking a shower is a low risk activity (unless it was some sort of weird group shower). Doesn't soap kill the virus?

Takeaway food sure, eat in the truck but people need to be able to use a bathroom.

You have to follow the guidelines, and especially in this case as they were coming from a known high risk covid zone.

They cannot use dining facilities for the general public. Just designated lounges for truck drivers.

With showers they need to advise the staff that they are permit holders from a high risk zone so that the showers can can be cleaned.

Plus they also now need to QR Check in at all stops (and indeed everyone in Victoria must now check-in everywhere).

The initial reports seem at present to indicate that they were not abiding by the required conditions of their travel.

Just watching the new this morning. Huge delays and reports of some people waiting waiting 6 hours before being turned away.

Huge queues again this morning. So no possibility for people to getting tested on the way to work.
The message today is you can go to any of the 100 or so testing centres on your way to work. Gets over the 10km limitation that might have forced everyone to go to a local testing station.

97 cases, 21? loose in the community. Focus switching from fairfield to further s/w.
