You wouldn't be suggesting contact tracing is falling over already would you?

A bit like it did everywhere else in the country 2 months ago?

Said it before and I'll say it again.

Let's do the time warp again

Its not the Wait Awhile state for nothing. The ensuing peak only 3 months or so after the other states is actually pretty quick for WA.

NSW to roll back QR codes and masks from Fri 25th.

Fair enough on QR codes.
I haven't had an alert now for weeks, so they aren't even processing them.
I still get some alerts, the last one for Woolies on Monday on a 5 minute visit for 2 items. Ever since close contacts were revised to 4hrs together at home, the value of QR codes has been questionable.

I'm sure this has been playing on many minds in government and health.
Probably one of the reasons for the country's tough approach to borders until vaccination levels high
Sadly I understand vaccine hesitancy is rife in indigenous communities; those inciting it should (but no doubt won't) have troubled consciences

Lets hope they throw the book at him

Casuals are out the door in WA so yes all has been lost now :-)

How convenient he wasn’t there for the requisite 2 hour period. 1 hour 45 minutes. 🙄

I do wonder how this 2 hour rule is going to play out.

1) People leave venues after 1 hour and 45 minutes (bad for venue)
2) People tell fibs about how long they have been there

I have an idea about which of those will happen!

I think the Premier has shown the lead tbh. As if 15 minutes makes a diddly squat difference to anything. What a joke this whole thing is. In SA it's 15 minutes if no masks and within 1.5 metres. I don't think we have the 2 hour or 4 hour thing. And pretty much anything goes here now because the Adelaide Fringe starts tonight and that won't end well.

What frustrates me most is that they all act under the same (insert appropriate expletives) Health Advice and all have markedly different outcomes.

Maybe he'll announce a lockdown until his expert health advice predicts 90%+ third dose completion. Crush and kill the virulent lethal WA strain of COVID that he has put the fear of god into WA citizens. Don't forget no news from the Eastern States makes it though the WA Hard Border,

I understand there's a press conference coming up. I'm sure we're not far away from capacity limits, but we'll see..

Taking it's toll on business in the CBD. Maybe like the cities 'over east' Perth is in 'lockdown by default' :)

And if you hype up the fear factor it’ll be worse, Marko…

Not any more thankfully they are back to be rammed, we’ve had to book all of our work dinners back in. Lots of interstaters coming for quick weekend breaks maybe. That or the locals are back out and about.

Yes indeed, probably not a good idea to book a holiday in WA for a month or two.
You keep having a dig at WA on numerous threads. I have several holidays booked in WA over the next four months. And Tasmania. And Melbourne. Just get on with your own life. The virus is spreading less rapidly in WA, probably because of the high incidence of vaccination before Covid took hold. And to date no hospitalisation.
