Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

With the spread increasing and RAT tests being used more I am wondering what is the timeline from contact to positive RAT test and positive PCR?

For example if I went to lunch on Monday at 12 noon with someone who later turns up positive and that is the point of contact. When would my RAT be positive? When would the RAT be negative after someone tests positive and recovers? I know PCR captures shedding after recovery and it messes up your results even if you are negative.

WA
Local: 51
Other Travellers: 48

Total: 99

Deaths: 1 (no record of vaccination)
'No record of vaccination' a tactical move that will motivate more WA scaredycats into getting vaccinated. Next week they will confirm he was fully vaccinated with booster you watch. 'No record of' = plausible deniability.

Not sure I agree with you, however I absolutely respect that your opinion is likely driven by a total lack of trust in government. This is the seed they have sown.

6 are unliked.

And 1 of the 27 has moved into the 'not sure' column - it is also one of the unlinked! There's a bit of inconsistency about how it is being reported.

Any increase is still tediously slow. Where is the much-vaunted exponential increase? It's just verrry slowwwly arithmetic.

And there's nobody in hospital... 🤔

There seems to be a 'complaint' - by implication - that testing is 'too low'.

But what is the point of anyone getting tested for no reason?

It's a total PITA over here at the moment. The usual suspects catastrophising like mad, but stuff-all of any consequence happening.

We'll be like this forever at this rate, while the rest of the world gets on with things.

Certainly not having a shot at you.

They are obviously missing some - that has been the hallmark of Omicron world-wide.

However, the absence of any sign of an exponential increase but more tellingly, the absence of hospitalisations, indicates that very little of consequence is going on. Yet they harp on about more testing - under a pointless scenario.
