Yes sorry 50 was a typo (now corrected), it was meant to be 5 per day average and so 70 new cases for the 14 days.
I think 1. on current trends is very doable. 2. Is the problematic one.
Yesterday's verified report was
The total number of cases from an unknown source in the last 14 days is 94 for metropolitan Melbourne and three for regional Victoria. The 14-day period for the source of acquisition data ends 48 hours earlier than the 14-day period used to calculate the new case average due to the time required to fully investigate a case and assign its mode of acquisition.
So that was 97 statewide. Today was 83 (verified report still to be issued for the day). So that is 14 less.
In a week the unknown statewide cases has dropped from 192 to 83. (See tables below)
So it is heading in the right direction direction and hopefully will continue to rapidly drop. But it is still a fair way off less than 5 unknown cases statewide for 14 days.
