As for standing, of course they have it. It’s merit they lack.
I would have thought it would be wise to see what their case/argument was before deciding it had no merit.

@Cddc this is the current Qld testing requirement, which is in the border restrictions direction (currently no 52 so everything is subject to change!)…Has anybody got any inside info on what covid test will be acceptable to enter QLD on 17 Dec? Will we be able to go to our state run clinics (in Vic) with 'hayfever' and show the negative result we receive via text? Will we have to go to a paid private clinic and get a PCR test with a print out? Will a rapid test from the supermarket suffice? How will this be enforced? There will be huge bottlenecks at the airports and land border if they are checking everyone. We are booked to fly out on the 17th for a weekend in Brissy and the lack of detail is concerning. If we have to go to a private clinic and pay $150 a pop, it won't be worth the cost/trouble for a 2 day trip.
so supermarket test, no, local clinic test, yes. No requirement as to form of result. There is a catch 22 that if you turn up with symptoms you normally have to isolate till you receive your results.COVID-19 PCR test means an oropharyngeal and deep nasal swab for a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test approved for use in Australia by the Therapeutic Goods Administration to detect whether a person has the COVID-19 virus.
Note: A COVID-19 PCR test is undertaken in a clinical setting and does not include a self-test.
Well Mrs Pineapple and I are burning points on QF BNE-MEL and back over Xmas.
Looking at MMB on QF website and it has the option of entering APIS. So I duly entered our passport numbers. Just wondering if this is another wierd IT glitch or another instance of the new normal.
It didn't ask for our residential postcode like the system usually requires for domestic checkin.
Cheers skip
Must be a convenient way of Qantas seeing your international travel movements and maybe possibly linked to your vaccination status? with international borders reopening but some Australian states still stuck in 2020 Covid zero thinking this must be part of Qantas' response to that situation.Well Mrs Pineapple and I are burning points on QF BNE-MEL and back over Xmas.

Are you likely to have to home quarantine on return to Queensland? Currently it looks like only if you visit a "hot spot", but you know how they can change!Well Mrs Pineapple and I are burning points on QF BNE-MEL and back over Xmas.

Yep!go to cricket in Melbourne?
Except there is no international sector in the booking. My guessing is IT SNAFU. Conspiracy theorists may have more imaginative ideas.Must be a convenient way of Qantas seeing your international travel movements
AP promises not after 17 Dec if vaxed. That is the date WA becomes an outlierAre you likely to have to home quarantine on return to Queensland?
I'm tipping /(hoping) QLD has an outbreak of more than small handful of cases & WA close to the Sunshine State well before Dec 17.AP promises not after 17 Dec if vaxed. That is the date WA becomes an outlier

Surprised Canberra didn't try it on as well for Manuka Oval. But I can understand why as that ground is very small indeed.Due to never ending border restrictions in WA, Tassie has just cheekily pitched to steal their Ashes test! Will probably get it…
Poor old WA

Tasmania puts Hobart Ashes Test bid to CA, to be removed from Perth
Tasmania has formally launched an audacious campaign to snatch the fifth men's Ashes Test from Perth, with premier Peter Gutwein drawing on sentiment and sense in his pitch to Cricket Australia. Tasmania will be fully reopen to all states in mid December.
The series finale between Australia and England is slated to start at Optus Stadium on January 14, with the bid drawing a furious reaction from WA.

SA is psychotic, had face mask on in Adelaide Casino, and jumped (not literally) by security for daring to have a sip of coke whilst standing watching players at the roulette table.I'm tipping /(hoping) QLD has an outbreak of more than small handful of cases & WA close to the Sunshine State well before Dec 17.
While we're at it, SA could have a cheeky outbreak too.
All in the meaning of speeding up the fence sitters on getting the jab.

Canberra is still in the mix.Surprised Canberra didn't try it on as well for Manuka Oval. But I can understand why as that ground is very small indeed.
Interesting, being a Canberra local. While the playing surface is good, the spectator facilities if you're not in the stand are very poor. But I'd still go if they held the game hereCanberra is still in the mix.
I’m still involved with the SACA and the talk still is that Canberra is well in it.
It all hinges on McGowan giving exemptions for players as they will be coming straight from Sydney. CA also want as many interstate spectators at test also
Exemptions are toxic when people are locked out of homes and being able to see loved ones often in difficult personal situations.Canberra is still in the mix.

He has to retain iron strength over there, no way he allows any exemptions.Exemptions are toxic when people are locked out of homes and being able to see loved ones often in difficult personal situations.

I just applied for a WA permit (approved). To be fair, the application for a visa to Russia was more difficult.

Not true, their preference is still WA as TV ratings for Perth tests is through the roof in the Eastern states and the broadcasters are leaning on them.Grade 2 level English used you mean?
Tassie bid will underwrite attendance differentials apparently…. Very clever little Tasmanians! Sneaky!
Also Cricket Australia are Melburnians… so I’m sure they’d prefer to give it to Tassie over WA, for many reasons in addition to border restrictions.
