Nope, got to disagree with this.

I don’t want the airlines aiding and abetting our state premiers for any covid controls. It’s not an international border.

Next thing we will need a passport domestically.

Totally agree, but where have you been the last couple of years?! If Tasmania wants to separate vaccinated and non vaccinated I'd prefer it be done as part of the booking process, rather than screening the vaccination status of every person coming off the plane.
It's likely to settle down as one in twenty are not vaccinated. Does that mean that nineteen people will have to prove they are vaccinated, every time they enter Tasmania, just because one might not be? Alternatively, spot checks; police prowling about the airport, requesting vaccination proof at random?
How else do you enforce an vaccination entry requirement? If it's not enforceable, what's the point?

The airlines have stood strong for two years. Don’t start enabling your captors now. It’ll be vaccination status today, then next thing G2G. Then they’ll be responsible for repatriating people denied entry at the airlines expense.

Fair enough, I appreciate your point. Personally, I think it stupid to have different rules for vaccinated and un-vaccinated, simply because of the difficulties of enforcing. Handling at the booking stage would be a practical solution but you make a lot of sense. Inconvenience everyone and the pain shifts to the clowns dreaming this stuff up.

Sounds like an opportunity for whatever states they are in to offer them contracts for the next 6 months or so....

I don't want a scrutiny every time I land somewhere. Spot check means funneling Pax and if you land 10 minutes after JQ disembark, guaranteed it'll all back up. If vaccinated it is, work with the airlines and determine at booking stage. Waiting until people are walking off the plane is plain stupid!

Actually spot check will be roaming ‘enforcers’ asking random people now and then their vax status, not screening whole flights thankfully so no funnelling of the sheep required

And the ‘covid shed’ at LST is going to be pulled down apparently. Yay!

It sits unused in front of the QF/JQ bays. I don’t know why it is barely used anymore… it used to be used all the time.

The cattle ramp things are made on the NW coast . Even so, there was a time a couple of years ago where HBA didn't have enough for a long time and planes had to queue on the apron until a plane in front left and freed up a ramp or stairs. But that's HBA ...

It would be much more effective if the airlines discontinued all service to places that make it hard.

Clinic may have been a strong word. They’re basically waiting for “patients” in a hotel room. Lying on the bed on their phone seems to be the between appointment protocol.

So in the hermit kingdom category we have:

- WA - Virgin have stopped service, QF only flying for freight and because they can get government subsidies to keep operating
- NZ - Other than basically state owned airline NZ, most are giving it a wide berth only for freight.
- HKG - CX basically grounded, even freight carriers closing bases
- China - busy banning US carriers left right and centre
