Australian state border restrictions

Well VIC will go into LD 6.0 so other states will put VIC at High Risk etc.
Standard scenario of late.

Just better not be a QLD 3 day LD, just hit a 5er or lucky 7.

I wonder at what point the population in general will just say stuff it? Continually locking down areas with no cases, is a variant of the boy calling wolf.
If the Victorian government do choose a lockdown and again lock down the entire state, it will be interesting to see the reaction

Can we hang on to say stuff it at the 70% mark??

Then see how we fair then, good evidence from O/S should give up reason picture of what things will look like.

I'd like to say stuff this I'm going overseas but unfortunately I'm 100% sure border control won't accept that.

Dicey, since they just sent us a positive guy ... But we shipped him back to NSW,pronto!
15 days til I'm meant to go on holiday to Tas. Better stock up on popcorn, ought to be an interesting fortnight.

ABC now reporting VIC will go back into lockdown.

This year is more of a cluster **** than last.

Called Delta. If that was about last year, we would never have come out of the first lockdowns.

Indeed. i think the biggest worry is what comes after Delta....strains that breakthrough the vaccine? Then what's the gov's plan?
We'll all be walking around in hazmat suits.

Then what's the gov's plan?
That's why ive argued in several threads here that it is pointless for the government to release a 'plan' to'freedom' or whatever. It will only result in disappointment and frustration for all.

'Get vaccinated as soon as you can' is the best and only plan right now, I reckon.

It depends. The virus may have to become less deadly to evade current vaccines. It's not easy to predict.

A variant that is far more contagious but far less deadly would actually be a good thing.

Right now vaccination is the way to protect yourself and those around you. Whether boosters have to be targeted at new variants rather than more of the existing vaccines remains to be seen.

These lockdowns and border closures are not forever.
