McGowan denies WA is banning unvaccinated people from entering the state
There is confusion in Western Australia over whether the state plans on banning unvaccinated people entering the state.
In a list of frequently asked questions about new vaccine mandates uploaded to the WA Health Department's website yesterday it revealed its border vaccination rules would be extended to very low risk states by the middle of next month.
However, in an interview with ABC on Thursday morning WA Premier Mark McGowan said the document was not correct.
"That's not correct at this point in time, but that's the way all the states are moving. There's been some administrative mistakes there, but it's certainly the broad direction we're heading," he said.
Melbourne’s cafes, restaurants and bars are preparing to reopen, NSW’s anti-corruption inquiry continues and Australia has reached its 70 per cent double-dose vaccination target.
