Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Notice QF sent a email today advertising $299 east cost to WA return Y fares, BUT only if you book for 2 or more people. So that will exclude a lot of business and personal solo travel. They obviously need more load in order to ramp up schedules. I imagine many are still wary, especially with extra hurdles of a pass etc, which are not required to visit anywhere else nationally.

Unfortunately “yes” - my nephew’s wedding, otherwise I wouldn’t be going. I chuckled at the ’Tourism‘ option
I am coming for “tourism” too. There is no “resident returning” option. (Only “returning to live permanently” after being away, presumably from overseas.)

Since we don't get much news out of the west, if I remember coreclty you are still meant to do a RAT shortly after arrival. Is there any news on what is happening with others on the same flights as someone who reports a positive from that? Is it like the other states when they first opened where they were directing those around them to isolate?

Believe it or not, just because the national news outlets have moved on, yes, WA is still here and probably a few weeks off the peak!

Restrictions wise we are at "Level Two" but the isolation rules are for household contacts or being in a maskless situation with an infectious person for more than two hours.

I haven't heard any examples recently of people having to isolate after being seated near an infectious case, or seen flights on the exposure sites page for quite some time (previously just about every international flight into WA had a few rows listed here).

All that being said, the flight is probably one of the more risky parts of an itinerary, I suggested to my dad yesterday that on his upcoming trip to Melbourne, the PER-MEL flight is probably the riskiest part of the whole itinerary, and to wear a P2 mask and not remove it for the whole flight.

Oh dear this just gets dirter and dirtier for the WA Premier and the management of WA's border restrictions....

First - missing health advice to support the border restrictions (which we all knew was non existant). Now collusion with news magnates.....

The WA Premier sent a text message to the owner of the state's only daily metro newspaper, Kerry Stokes, thanking him for his support following the introduction of legislation that prevented businessman Clive Palmer from claiming damages in relation to a mining project, the Federal Court has heard.

Clive Palmer a no-show in court as lawyers confirm he has COVID-19 (Paywall)

Meanwhile Clive's unable to attend court as hes in hospital with Covid....I hope they have offered him some hydroxychloroquine, what's good for the goose....

I’m not sure if a news source that refers to somebody as “human excrement” is worthy of reposting.

Understand the sentiment but considered in context?

Journalism should be impartial. To straight out use the term “human excrement” in a headline (regardless of popular opinion) would suggest a little bias in the article.

Bit of a slippery slope. Where does it stop (rather with whom)?

Didn't that ship sail a few tides back?
