Its nice that she has posted it and we have got to see it to file it away in the memory banks, well done and have fun...

Now might be a good time to heavily edit it... And several posts on this page referring to it....

I understand why you disagree with what was posted, but I get the impression the OP was just so excited with what they managed to obtain, they just wanted to share, perhaps not totally understanding that they were being indiscreet? Or have I missed posts where the OP was asking specific questions where they would know?

Im long past disagreeing or caring. The poster can do what they want. I am pointing out that its foolish. Especially considering how many other 'tricks ' are now ancient history

Last few months of successful bookings:
2x J PER-SIN-NRT-LAX (SQ and NH) sept '14
2x J DPS-SIN-ZRH-DUB (SQ and LX) October '14
2x J AMS-BKK-SIN(BR and TG) nov '12
1x J AKL-SIN-BOM(SQ) dec '14
1x J BOM-SIN-AKL (SQ and surprisingly NZ) jan '15
2x J DPS-ICN-LHR (OZ) October '15

All bookings went off with no problems whatsoever so extremely happy

Is there some trick to making the bookings? I'm looking at getting the 100% bonus offer but I can't see any availability for May or Aug next year MEL-FRA or MEL-MNL in any class... any tips guys?

Lobo76... I suggest you ready the other Avianca thread. Not great news at this stage...

My recent bookings on LM:

1x J MEL-SGN-MEL (SQ/TG) - Aug '14
1x J MEL-HKG-MEL (TG) - Nov '14
1x F HKG-CDG-HKG (TG) - May '15

All booked without issue

Stopping for 4 nights

It's possible to do a complete J award from the USA (JFK / LAX / SFO) to SYD as the connection time at ICN is < 8 hours

All the flights from ICN to the USA seem to leave in the morning and the flight from SYD to ICN arrive at 1900

It's only 15K miles extra to fly in F so it's a no brainer really. To think it used to be only 75K miles before the devaluation a couple of months back

If only LM could increase their transit time, but it would then probably cause a massive reduction in points use

And did you specify the carrier (OZ) or just searched the dates?

Just searched for the dates - no specific airline and just left it with the smart search. Seems it's pretty easy to get J SYD - ICN, though only seemed to be 1 F to JFK though pretty much wide open next october

Was nearly going to pop over to NRT and try out ANA F as I hear their new square seats are pretty good, and I wanted to add another rimowa toiletries bag to my collection.

F to the USA on OZ seemed pretty easy to get. Didn't have much luck finding any to LHR CDG

Just booked LIM-BOG-CTG-MIA on LifeMiles. But booking Avianca flights doesn't seem the point of this thread :)

Were you able to get the cheap limited seats J award? I'd been looking to fly LAX - GIG next year but the costs were quite high - 125K miles each way

Will be interested to hear what you say of the flight and service.

Yes they were all the "limited seats". One of the flights the J "limited seats" was the same points as Y, so a good deal. 136000 points all up plus $360 US taxes for 2 pax.
