Lifemiles is down for maintenance. Wonder what they are enhancing now.

2 1/2 hours later and still down. I was still able to cancel a lifemiles booking on the phone - whoa to go in less than 5 minutes which is definitely a record for me.

Super fast!! In other news, seems TG F connections to/from HND/NRT/KIX are blocked, but the new CTS 747 route is not!

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

It's back up now.

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Not working for me. "prefered carrier" box does not seem to be populated!

Poor old LM. Can't get much right. Notice how the departure time from Auckland is actually the departure time from LA?

Not a bug really.
The departure airport data and departure time data are probably put lord from different parts of the itinerary and shower there. Departure time is likely set as the earliest time of any departure/transit points in the itinerary, not that if the actual starting point.
Quite common when crossing the date line going east..

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

My first screenshot attempt failed.

I wanted to book SYD-NRT via BKK leaving this Sunday. BKK-NRT has been available for weeks, if not months but only J for SYD-BKK so I waited until T-5 when TG releases more F seat. It became available on Tuesday a bit after midday so I sent screenshots.

Woke up Wed morning and flights are still there but after a few hours someone grabbed BKK-NRT. Didn't hear anything from Lifemiles until this morning (1am) saying they couldn't find BKK-NRT and had been searching for alternate flights. Obviously, they only tried to search for BKK-NRT on March 21 and didn't try to change SYD-BKK to morning flight which can connect to NRT in J same day.

Lesson learnt. If booking close to a departure date, give them some alternate flights in the first email. They asked if I have any alternate flights/routes/dates but I couldn't be bothered and I will stick with OZ flights.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, unfortunately screenshot process is not instantaneous so there is a risk that someone snatches your seat in the mean time.

Hope they fix the bug.

I think being able to book is a bug for them and they just fixed it. :D

Is a mobile number ok for the callback or they want a landline??

I don't think they have fixed the bug. I just checked flights SYD-BKK-NRT. Not there when i checked as a connecting search SYD-NRT but when i did a seperate search I found flights Syd-Bkk then a search for BKK- NRT same day it came up. Looks like screen shots are still required

Really not happy with the loss of SQ premium awards again. Thought progress was being made when they reappeared, but not they've gone again it's quite annoying. Even UA have access to some inventory (good availablity on non 77W/380 aircraft, such as 207/8 and 237/8 between SIN & MEL), but alas it seems now SQ have excluded lifemiles (or vice versa).
