re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

I don't think they have fixed the bug. I just checked flights SYD-BKK-NRT. Not there when i checked as a connecting search SYD-NRT but when i did a seperate search I found flights Syd-Bkk then a search for BKK- NRT same day it came up. Looks like screen shots are still required

I was saying they fixed it so that we can't book anymore. :D

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

alas it seems now SQ have excluded lifemiles (or vice versa).

It would appear to be LM's doing, based on the fact it disappeared at the same time as all those short lived perfectly valid TG/TG connections.

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

No luck with a mixed class screen-shot booking even though I can see all the different sectors :(

Tried to book SQ J - TG F connection.

Looks like I will have to spend a night in Sydney as I can't get there early enough from Adelaide for TG476.

That's no good! Do you mind share with us what itinerary you were trying to book?

that's crazy.... so we could book a mixed class fair if it was showing in the system but we can't book it because it won't let us link flights because of the bug in their system!!!! That is really disappointing

This. I took this screenie in Feb when the search engine changed. I didn't mind paying the higher F rate for this routing because I would have saved on not paying for a flight to Syd and overnight accommodation.

So, did you find equivalent availability on the dates you want? Or did you simply send this screenshot asking if they could book it for you on another date? Sorry for the questions but just for our future redemptions I would like to know how far our screenshot can go.

For screenshot to work you must show availability of the flights on the date you want that is showing in LM search engine. If you can't see it on LM, even if you can see availability in UA, ANA, KVS search tool..etc, LM won't book it for you.

Yes I found all flights on LM and sent screenies. The flights are available, they just won't book it :(

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Second attempt sent

If I want to call them instead of waiting for the call do I need to setup the phone pin first?

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

So what are they going to do with the A380

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Good question. They have already pulled one A380 out of Tokyo, another out of Osaka. Now Paris and Frankfurt, but no mention of new A380 route.

Is it to do with scheduled maintenance? MH is doing something similar to redeploy 747 while their A380 is being serviced. I would expect TG's A380 to be roughly the same age as MH's.

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

It is relatively short periods. Just over a month so yea probably maintenance. Bad if you have a first booking but at least business is the same.

Except you can't book F to FRA or CDG beyond those dates at the moment.

Hmm, that is a bit more interesting. Saying that they haven't updated their Summer (Australian) schedule yet which have pretty sure starts at the end (or start?) of October. They are perennially late at loading that.

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

After booking and paying taxes etc should my booking read "confirmed" or "ticketed" on checkmytrip??
I paid on Friday and it still says "confirmed"
Flight is next week.

PS....Just noticed LM is down for maintenance

On your phone, If you select the trip and select the passenger name it should show the ticket number. This is just a double check the ticket is issued

On your pc, Just select trip and passenger and it shows the ticket number.

AFAIK the "confirmed" thing is simply the seat has been held. An issued ticket is the key
