I finally worked out how to use LastPass to pay Optus. Of course it had nothing to do with the Form Filling Profiles! (For anyone one else interested, fill in the details on the Optus Pay My Bill page and then choose Save All Entered Data under Tools in the LastPass menu.)

Just wondering if anyone is paying the $2.20 non-direct debit payment fee that Optus charges if you don't pay by direct debit. If you're not, why?

It's criminal that they list this fee next to the direct debit info as a fee you can avoid when paying by direct debit.

Also wondering whether a discussion with the TIO would see that fee disappear, given they also charge a payment processing fee for (non-direct debit) card use and have late payment fees too. So what is their justification for charging such a fee.

Anyway, my solution at the moment is to leave the direct debit in place and keep paying manually, which Optus will then include when recalculating the amount owing, prior to performing the direct debit. I assume any payments in the few days prior to the direct debit won't be included in the recalculation.

Yes I successfully used macros with Virgin, but have since closed my bankwest account. The macro I used "keyboard maestro" recorded and replayed keystrokes, mouse movements and clicks and replayed them.

One sweep for transactions made in January. Similar amount for the previous month. Just booked SYD-LAX in F today courtesy of BW!

It was the only one that worked for me. It worked best following more keystroke commands than mouse clicks (eg rather than clicking through the form, use the TAB key and arrow keys to select card expiry dates). Some clicks are unavoidable, and I recommend putting in pauses throughout the process to allow to the screen to load while the macro is running.

If you're going to use it long term then it can pay for itself, or just use the free trial until it runs out. I think its Mac only.
